Coming to this site is about listening to AIC, and some nice music. Jerry Cantrell's way of doing rock music is just good music.

Here is a link to Layne's last interview with MTV. It's sad. He knew he was going to die yet nobody put their foot down (at least not hard enough) to stop him from drugging himself to death. This interview highlights what this song is really about. I also read somewhere else that he has a small lisp when he recorded "Get Born Again" because his teeth were falling out. I'm not sure how long he planned to live past this. Look all the way back to Facelift album and he's talking about how he can't put down heroin then. 10 years is a whole lotta time for someone who abuses heroin on a very regular basis. I'm glad they put out as much as they did and his journey didn't end earlier.

But the worst part is reading the lyrics and biography and seeing that he knew what was wrong. Most addicts don't really see it until they're nearly dead, but he was well aware of the horrors that awaited him. I think he was 6'1 and 89lbs was his weight when he died. Hell on earth.

Believe it or not, I'm religious....church every Sunday, and all. However, the musical harmonies of AIC are very pretty. People, and their convictions/lack of convictions doesn't bother me. Coming to this site is about listening to AIC, and some nice music. Jerry Cantrell's way of doing rock music is just good music.

It's an add-on for firefox so it's safe and it's actually sponsored by firefox. Since I've downloaded it a year ago, I've never seen a youtube commercial, and I use vevo all the time as my personal music library, I just favorite videos. I love vevo now. haha

Here is a link to Layne's last interview with MTV. It's sad. He knew he was going to die yet nobody put their foot down (at least not hard enough) to stop him from drugging himself to death. This interview highlights what this song is really about. I also read somewhere else that he has a small lisp when he recorded "Get Born Again" because his teeth were falling out. I'm not sure how long he planned to live past this. Look all the way back to Facelift album and he's talking about how he can't put down heroin then. 10 years is a whole lotta time for someone who abuses heroin on a very regular basis. I'm glad they put out as much as they did and his journey didn't end earlier.

@riellyhammond very. He was so talented and personal with his work. I feel almost like I had made this close friend and then lost him. But the worst part is reading the lyrics and biography and seeing that he knew what was wrong. Most addicts don't really see it until they're nearly dead, but he was well aware of the horrors that awaited him. I think he was 6'1 and 89lbs was his weight when he died. Hell on earth.
