  • do goalie pads slide the same on your products?

  • @EchoHawk39 Yes you can slide on the ice with goalie pads, not a problem. We have many customers who use our products for goalie training.

  • does this stuff wear out ever?

  • @ramstones1 All products have different lifespans. Our products range from 15 to 25 years depending on which product you are using. Some are thicker then others so they will last a bit longer.

  • Since it is not real ice does this mean that your blades will get dulled faster or even ruined by skating on them a lot? I use synthetic ice for shooting and stick handling but I never thought I could even use it for skating.

  • @Ma1iciousMike It will not ruin your skates, and you will have to sharpen them just the same as if you were using them frequently on real ice. It all depends on how much you are using them and what you are practicing on synthetic ice before you need to sharpen them again. Trial and error!

  • what is the point of this vid????

  • @shakerhockey26 We get alot of questions about stopping on synthetic ice, so this video is to show how easy it is to skate/stop on high quality synthetic ice.

  • @shakerhockey26 ? smh....

  • How would the thing in the video cost?

  • @MobileRingTones4Free You can contact us via our website by phone/email and we would be happy to discuss pricing with you!

  • Does it feel like real ice?

  • @AppleGuy256 You can do anything on synthetic ice that you can do on real ice. Practice makes perfect and it takes a slight adjustment to get used to.

  • @IceProCanada dose it have more of a drag feeling to it because i skated on a synthetic ice tredmill and i felt like some one was grabbing my skates and holding them when i went to stride.

  • @SmallTownFilmer The synthetic ice treadmills will have more of a drag then just the ice panels because it's better for resistance training. Our synthetic ice panels get faster over time! Skating on synthetic ice is a little bit different at first, but after a couple of skates your skills adapt quite easily.

  • Does that wreck your skates?

  • @WatchMeGoBardown8 No it does not wreck your skates. Many high level skaters and professional skaters use these products to train on a daily basis.

  • Ok Thanks ButHow Much Would A Fairly Big Piece Cost?

  • @SuperWalker16 It all depends on which product you go with. Decide on the square footage you are thinking of and mulitply by the price per sf for a price range.

  • Does this stuff ware out? If you keep stoping in the same area does it get thin?

  • @ryan112976 Depending on which product you choose, it can last anywhere from 12-30 years. You can use either side as well. As with anything, an area that is used more will wear out faster than an area that is not used as much.

  • How much is that?

  • @SuperWalker16 Our prices for synthetic ice range from $11/sf to $23/sf depending on which product you choose and what level of performance you're looking for. Please email us via our website if you have any other questions!

  • how the hell do u do that?

  • @JandSsuperstars Skating on synthetic ice requires the same skill set as skating on real ice, it is just a bit different at first, and requires a little more effort. But with anything, practice makes perfect, and in this case, practicing on synthetic ice will improve your skills more so than practicing without skates on at all.

  • where did u bought it ? and how much is it?

  • @cantingtech2 You can purchase from us, IcePro...feel free to contact us via our website by phone or email and we can give you information regarding the product and pricing details. Thanks!

  • Why are stopping with only one skate?

  • wow you are amazing

  • Can you like pick the "ice" up and move it around? or is it built into the ground or something?

  • @ImmaAmazing The ice panels are easy to install/uninstall and they are not built into the ground. This particular product in the video is an ice strip, our other products come in panels about 1m squared or less in size, so you can pick them up and move them around once you unattach them from the rest of the surface.

  • i like cheese when it's cold

  • How much does this cost?

  • @REDWINGSROCK4 It all depends on which product you choose to go with, anywhere between $11/sf to $23/sf. We have residential/commerical and light, medium or heavy duty products. Check out our website and give us a call or send us an email for more information!

  • @IceProCanada sure thannngg

  • well - what about figure skates? They have dents in front of blade. Sometimes when I do not have other options I turn backward and stop by digging my dents into ice. And it leaves deep scarves. Also if I do pirouette I leave scars on ice. So is it possible to use synthetic ice even for figure skates?

  • @dalinex The dents and scarves that you make in real ice will not be the same in synthetic ice. Our products are designed to handle figure skaters as well, check out some of our figure skating videos! Michelle Kwan was also on our ice and have very positive things to say about the quality of our ice. Feel free to email us for more information!

  • Now the question is, does it blend? No no in just kidding ^^ but seriously if you fall on this surface or play as a goalie (which gets on the ground a lot) do you get some oil stain or something cause I think I saw a video of this super glide ice where a guy says there is some sort of oil that comes out of the "plastic" so it gets more ice-like feeling of gliding?

  • @ultimateflash There are many different products, ours does not have the "oil" that comes out of the panels for that very reason - it can get messy! With our product, you mix with mostly water and it will not stain your clothes/gear. You don't even have to use it if you don't want too, it all comes down to preference. Our Glide Solution is non-toxic and environmentally friendly! Our panels have a great glide factor already, so we don't need to embed the solution in the panels.

  • does this dull your skates at all?

  • @666skateinhell666 It doesn't dull your skates much more than skating on regular ice would...everyone has a different preference for their skate blades. We've done many tradeshows where skaters would skate for 3 or 4 days, 10 hours a day and no sharpening was required.

  • Is it like stopping on ice? And do your skates get dual

  • @hockeylover811 You stop the same way on synthetic ice as you do on regular ice, but it just feels a bit different at first. After a few minutes, it's like skating on real ice! It doesn't dull your skates much more than skating on regular ice would. After about 5 full uses skating for an hour at a time would be the average, but everyone has a different preference for their skate blades!

  • That's interesting... High density plastic? As a chemist I wonder what kind of polymer is that and whether it feels natural as ice.

  • @EnhancedNightmare - This product is made from a very high molecular weight (VHMWPe), with additional slip additives to provide a realistic high quality skating experience.

  • @IceProCanada dont you have to sharpen your skates alot

  • @Jeremyhockey12 It always depends on the brand of synthetic ice, some can be more harsh then others. But this is our Ice-Y Blue product by IcePro so with the higher quality comes less damage to your blades. It's all about a preference, so some can go longer without sharpening then others, but I would say the average is after 5 regular uses, so that would be more than 5 games since you are really only on the ice for a total of 10-20mins in each game, depending on the game times.

  • some synthetic ice brands are pretty harsh on the blades - that's true. But this Ice-Y-Blue product by IcePro is quite good that way. My kids use it 8-9 times before sharpening. My oldest did a show with me and skated for 12 hours straight before sharpening. That's pretty good. On the other hand some people get their skates hsarpened after every game they play on real ice.

  • and why arent any of you mentioning how much glice kills your sharpening...its horrible.

  • yes........ in ya face global warming!!!!!

  • cool

  • no spray ?

  • @gabymanjo No there is no spray because you are skating on synthetic ice that is made from a high density plastic. You would only get the spray when skating on natural ice.

  • @IceProCanada okey thanks !

  • can u order this stuff coz it just looks like a massive sheet a paper hah

  • @08DRender You can order it per panel (different sizes), or you can order it as a sheet such as the one in the video, it all depends on the application

  • I want to see someone stop with some speed under their blades.

  • @TheRationalBeing You can watch some of our videos on our website. It's hard to show speed under the blades unless you have a large enough surface to gain speed.

  • My problem is, I can stop just fine on my right side (right foot first) but I cant do it the opposite way.

  • @bukakee1 you're supposed to use both feet when you stop.

  • @jvhockey2013 Yes you are right, this is a short distance, so we're just trying to show the ease of skating and gliding on this new synthetic ice product
