these newer high end eminance speakers will hold their tone longer and age better than the celestions. The Jesen speaker company is up there too but its all preference. Good thing about eminance is the price/material/quality ratio is amazing and their durable construction will have them lasting for years and years holding their sound beautifully

Sounds a little funky; have you tried Celestion G12 Vintage 30's (60 watts), or the Hellatone 60? It would be more clear and realistic sounding.

I find when dealing with Eminence speakers you need to be careful with theirs speakers. Especially if you get "Fat bottom end" if you go to their website and you see that in the description be careful. Maybe would sound ok with strat pickups, give those pickups some body.

My favorite eminence speakers are as follows; Red, White, and Blue, Tonkerlite, Legend V128, and Wizard. Very cool. Prefer celestion speakers, but the ones I previously mention are the best from eminence.

I'm looking for a nice pair of speakers, I use a Fender Deville but I find it to bassy and muddy, I want something with more life, more like a crunchy-crystal-twangy sound. Wizards are a good cross between a Vintage 30 and a Greenback. They have tighter bottom end and the balls of a Greenback, good raw mids and are not as strident in the highs as Vintage 30's. Plus in a 2x12 or 1X12 you have a higher watt cab, they are 75w each instead of 60w each for Vintage 30 and only 25w each for GB. The magnets on Wizards are massive and they can get as dirty loud as you want to push them.

Hi...I just bought a pair of wizards myself...they are on their way. I've heard they are good for mixing with other speakers for a nice full sound with a raw edge. I am pairing them with a set of Celestion G12K-100's. My main interest is Metal and classic rock. I'll keep you posted on how they do and maybe post a vid if your interested.

I got a very important question... what's the difference between an extension cabinet and a normal cabinet?

and can I use an extension cabinet with a head that does not have any other cabinet plugged in?

Extension cabinet mean a separate cabinet. We usually use amp heads with these. Combo amps have the speaker(s) and amplifier in one single cabinet.

hey, im thinking about changing the speaker of my peavey studio pro 110 10" 65W. i've been thinkin about a Eminence Ragin' Cajun Patriot...but im not sure...how ever i like the sound of my amp, but it starts to 'buzz' with the low sounds.. and i dont crank it..i dont know whats wrong...i think it may be the speaker, thats the main reason i've been thinkin about changing it, can somebody help me??

I find the Blues Junior a little too bright for my taste. Do you think that the Eminence produces enough lows to complement the highs of the Blues Junior? Or at leas cut back on some of the highs of Blues Junior?
