oh and before the dyno got calibrated again my numbers were 424rwhp...so take dyno numbers with a grain of salt...

@thetravdawg No it is a 230/230 duration cam very middle of the road by todays standards, some might even call it small...As stated this combo has gone 10.61 at 125mph later that year...4000 stall so slightly large but nowhere near the big boys...car is driven 160 miles round trip to the track too

Am running Ed Curtis 235/241 614/614 112...243 heads from Advance Induction Vararam VR-b2, 36# injectors, RPM stage IV, ZO6 diff, 90/90 American Racing Exhaust 1 7/8 3X2 1/2 X pipe, Vigi 3400 and my dyno is a 412/356 on 91 octane. I have to be doing something wrong here. Whats your race weight. No nitorus or anything? I mean really for a cam only car with nothing else that is a hell of a run bro.

Raceweight is 3300, I have gone a 10.61 at 125mph in real cold 40* days with nice baro pressure 30.40s for a da of around -800just never got a video of the runs but I do have a nice picture of the wheels being pulled about 10inches on the starting line no spray if i had spray i would be high 9s, maybe next year some time i will strap on a shot

410rwhp through the locked auto...any vendor can get it for it it is an XFI/X-ER comp custom cam...

i have since ran 10.61 at 125mph (1.35 60ft) with a raceweight around 3250 and the addition of a 92 Fast intake with a 12 bolt and 4.10 gears...da was slightly better around -800ft...

when i ran the 10.83 i had the stock 10 bolt with 3.23 gears...trans is stock with the exception of some upgraded red alto bands...

i have since ran 10.61 at 125mph with a spooled 12 bolt and 4.10 gears...trans still the same just the bands...

on a 150 shot with the good air i ram in i would guess high 9s to a best of 9.8s...

I am from IL, and he should check out ls1techthe leaders for heads/cam 2900lb raceweight car is 9.66, for cam only meaning stock heads it is 10.20s 2800lb raceweight, and for a bolt ons only car stock heads and stock cam is 10.60 at 3100 raceweight

yeah the fast is not worth much on a cam only car since the major restriction becomes the heads...thanks for the props...i actually ran a 10.61 at 125mph about a month ago but we dont have any video just some slips and an action picture...cam is a custom comp grind 230/230 XFI/X-ER .612/.591 lsa 111+2...the 10.61 run was with a 1.35 60ft with amazing -870ft DA

the 10 bolt lasted like 5 or so passes in the 1.3s, 50 or so passes in the 1.4s and hundreds of passes in the 1.5s...and when it gave way it was only making a popping when i would take a corner, so i pulled the covered and noticed a few spider teeth were chipped, the ring and pinion looked flawless...

also the trans is not built just a stall

To answer the last question it now has an aluminum spooled 12 bolt with 4.10s and i dropped another 30lbs & ran 10.61 at 125 in -900DA vs this -400DA

also added a fast 90 intake, only gained lik 8rwhp due to being just a cam only setup...next i might do a bigger cam and push the cam only a hair farther or just get some heads, i havent made up my mind yet ha

Most people are scared to pull 1.6's on them, let alone 1.3's. And thats a HUGE difference.

I say go the head route. Get a set of heads that go with your cam and you'll be in good shape. Or you could get a bigger cam and push the power band up and THEN get heads and a bigger stall..

Congrats on the 10.6. What was the 60? about the same?
