While I've been a huge fan of the song, the audio of this video is really off; it's not a timing or warping issue but rather one focused around the fact that it's really too quiet, especially when compared to other videos. It's almost like someone dropped the volume by ~50% during the remastering process.
This is a bunch of dudes singing about how great a boyfriend Spock would be. This song demonstrates how Spock is so badass he turns dudes gay for Spock.
I totally love both the song and the video! Just one thing.. isn't Spock's blood actually HOT and green? I thought vulcan's body temperature is way warmer than that of humans. Sorry for this carping comment, I don't mean it any bad way, just thinking out loud :).
@SleepinLionFTM I think it's more relating to how McCoy calls him cold-blooded. As in calculating, emotionless. You know one of the many things he says amongst the "Green blooded hobgoblin" comments. Also hot and green just doesn't go :P
@Cyberlogical Yeah, that's probably right! I got so lost in the sea of "green blooded hobgoblins" I forgot about his others.. innuendos. :P Thanks! (But I think hot and green would go just right, me and my brother sing it that way and it still sounds awesome :D)
@SleepinLionFTM Hairy Muff, just doesn't sound right to me. But then again I've been known to change lyrics to songs to fit in with how I think it should be, or just to personalize it.
Hey Grindcore, Are you in DC? Could be wrong...but we're always looking out for new bands, especially punk and hc.
Anybody we should be looking out for these days? And drop a line as far as shooting video. We can get you into all kinds of shows, if we can get some footage out of it... Sammy
@BlankTV yeah i'm in the DC, northern VA area. if you're lookin for good bands that I enjoy from around here, there's Animals as Leaders (obviously), Darkest Hour, Dying Fetus, King Giant, Magrudergrind, Pentagram, Periphery, Pig Destroyer, Timelord, Deranged Theory. a bunch of others too. i go up to Baltimore, MD a lot too to see shows as well. i have a bunch of lesser known local bands that i filmed on my channel.
@ruggalexander84 It's from "The Empire Strikes Back." Lea calls Han Solo a "Scruffy-looking Nerf Herder." Han replies with "Who you callin' scruffy lookin'?" It's been a while, but that's the approximate exchange, and I think that's probably the reference.
@TheLizzylizzy Not sure if they're still in the game, but we're trying to update a bunch of our older videos to high-def, and we've got a bunch of Fat Wreck, Honest Don's and Kung Fu to get added back in better quality. Nick
@TheLizzylizzy Parry Gripp did a song and music video for the TV show Attack of the Show on the TV network G4TV called "The Girl at the Video Game Store" a few years ago. If you search youtube you can find it.
The video is kind of funny, but the music is just more run of the mill, post- punk crap.
