For all the hate that the Wii gets, this and both zelda's on the Wii are the best in terms of graphical detail to me at least. When I look at stuff like CoD and other games using heavily outdated engines all I see is shiny to make up for the lack of detail in the environments. If the Wii was capable of 720p, my god nintendo how did you do it.

Some of Metroid Prime's music reminds me of Invader Zim's music. :P But anyway, love this game and the other two games. Hope to see a similar game type if another Metroid game is made. It won't be a part of Prime, but it'll still be cool.

@WheelchairRockets Because the final boss is fought in permanent "hypermode" instead of taking damage, you receive "phazon corruption" If the yellow bar fills up completely, Samus becomes fully corrupted. (ie. She becomes "dark samus"

@WheelchairRockets It serves as a warning to the player. As it gradually builds up, the phazon inside Samus grows more and more unstable. Stay in hyper mode too long, and Samus becomes a second Dark Samus.

I love how the corruption affects Samus's physical appearance... it's hard to tell with her in permanent hypermode, but her eyes are black and electric blue and her skin has a bluish tint... she looks kinda creepy, really. You can sorta tell at 0:40.

Dark samus is the best metroid villain ever. What could be better than an evil version of Samus? I also love the development of dark samus throughout the trilogy, in which she starts off as the mindless monster Metroid Prime in the first one, then becoming the supreme god-like entity in the third one. She is Samus' perfect enemy in which she is her evil twin and also she is technically a metroid - the main focus in the Metroid series (obviously other-wise it wouldn't be called metroid).

To me, Metroid Prime IS the best because of it's originality and feel and kick ass bosses, then Prime 3 with its controls, best visuals, great voice acting, and epic storyline. Prime 2 however, while its still fun and long, it can be sort of repetitive when you compare it with Prime 1 and the multiplayer falls short.....hard.

Well if Nintendo didn't put Dark Samus in this game, the games story line wouldn't make any sense. Dark Samus would have died, but how? Plus Samus had to kill her, because if she didn't she would still be some what corrupted.
