Maybe you're talking about AMstaff's? I have an amstaff and It's basicly the same breed as pitbull (different breed lines), but Staffordshire Bullterier looks different.

There is no such thing as a PUREBRED heavyweight APBT...there are mixes with Cane Corsos and Presa Canarios (and other big dogs) that make them big...

The Purebred American Pit Bull Terrier alone can not get to over 100lbs..(unless it is obese of course) it has to have SOMETHING mixed in to get that bigger size

Maybe someone has been mixing those too..who knows..a lot of so-called "Pit Bull" breeders will do anything for a buck and if it takes mixing in a beast to make some money, they WILL do it!

@spc1124 APBT's are supposed to range from 35-60 lbs. A little extra weight as long as it's in proportion still is acceptable, but I still wouldn't expect to see anything over 75.
