I've read the article between Rizal and Ninoy, though they lived a century apart and have many differences, they also share uncanny similarities. They're both eloquent speakers, they used their extraordinary and superior intellects to fight rulers that oppress the Filipinos and they both chose to return to the country knowing that they will both face imminent death.
@emir0721 They're actually shot at the same time in 1987. It's just that the English version gets to be shown more often; especially during the Cory and Ramos years.
Ninoy was right when he said what he has is an indomitable spirit that will never die. He lives on everytime a freedom loving Filipino says no to tyranny and corruption. Yes, he did leave us with two letters and a word N - O, NO.
Jovito Salonga, said about Ninoy: "... Ninoy was getting impatient in Boston, he felt isolated by the flow of events in the Philippines. In early 1983, Marcos was seriously ailing, the Philippine economy was just as rapidly declining, and insurgency was becoming a serious problem. Ninoy thought that by coming home he might be able to persuade Marcos to restore democracy and somehow revitalize the Liberal Party ..."[14]
and called him: "...The greatest president we never had ..."
This is the image that outraged Kris Aquino; that her dad was treated like a dead animal when his body was tossed into the van!
alam mo i would like to thank you for creating this channel, kasi dati hindi ko talaga ganun kakilala si Ninoy, but when i watched Ninoy's interview on the 700 club on tv, i was amazed by his intelligence napaka articulate at eloquent. then i searched sa you tube for more videos of him then i discovered your channel, and now mas lalo ko siyang nakilala, his life and the things he stood up for, mas lalo akung humanga! i am now a certified Ninoy fan! thanks NinoyAquinoTV
i'm on the process of watching all of your videos NAtv... i've never knew all this stuff until now... i must say, ur a blessing to me for giving me knowledge on NA.... GODBLESS! and thank you!
Ninoy and my family have 1 little connection: my younger brother was born on the exact day & year when Ninoy was assassinated. As we grew up, our family was both happy and sad on that very special day. As we celebrate my brother's birthday, we are always reminded of the sacrifices that Ninoy had offered his life for the Filipino and for the Filipino nation.
Hey kabayan! Kung meron man, malamang sa National Bookstore (video section), Video City or Astrovision.
I have a VCD that I bought from the Aquino Museum in 2001. It is also the scaled down version like this from NATv.
In 2005, a friend gave me a Heart & Soul DVD, and it's the full version (more than an hour long video). When I come to Manila, I'll make time to look for it from my "treasure chest", and hopefull it can be shared via YouTube.
That'll be great if you can share the full version of it. We also have a copy of the full version but it's in VHS; that's why we preferred uploading the scaled-down version from the VCD because it's easier to render.
i'm an avid fan of the late ninoy aquino, thank you for this videoa i was able to watch the complete doc but i still want to watch it every now and then. god bless and more power.
Thank you very much for your appreciation! You may subscribe to us and be updated of our activities. Mabuhay kayo dyan sa Vancouver! Mabuhay ang Pilipino! =)
One of my family members knew Ninoy. I wish he would've stayed in the US with us a little longer. I wish I could to him so much, he is an inspiration to us all.
Is that right? WoW! I'm glad to hear from one of the creators. Anong year nyo ginawa ang docu nato? =)
well, we did this docu actually 1987, mdyo crude nga quality compare 2 today's standard. Inspired kami lahat ginawa 2. Direk by Maria Montelibano, written by Teddy Benigno and narrated by da late Jose Marie Velez. Limited ang materials kaya dami naming mga sketches/illustrations dahil most of Ninoys days in Laur were not all documented. Thanks for ur reply. Appreciated it alot
Don't mention it, Sir Rey. Simple pero may dating ang dokyu na ginawa nyo despite the limited materials; if I'm not mistaken, this is the 1st "full-scale" documentary about Ninoy.
Sayang nga lang at "scaled-down" version ang meron ako; mas ok sana kung yung hour-long version ang mai-upload ko dito, which I do not have. Nung nagpunta ako sa Aquino Museum recently, they said only the "summarized" version is available.

You could still see the smile on his face as he lay inside his coffin. He may be telling us that the fight is not yet over.
Freedom is essential for democracy and peace to flourish - which is why he died for us, in the name of Filipino Freedom.
As Ninoy himself once said, let us all carry the torch and walk towards the better Philippines that we all aspire for.

Filipinos always complain about the corruption in the Philippines.
Do you really think the corruption is the problem of the Philippines?
I do not think so. I strongly believe that the problem is the lack of love
for the Philippines.

The whole documentary, as far as NATv is concerned, is not for sale and can only be seen on TV during the death anniversary of Ninoy.

Well, kung natuloy ang 1973 elections, naging presidente sana sya. Because of martial law, Ninoy wasn't given a chance to prove himself.
