On the cruises ,they use only oil lights because the compettition did not allow to use electric lights.And they keep their tradition to use the natural oil only.

Yes, of course, fireworks. The Naga Fireballs are small glowing balls that rise from the river to a few hundred meters. Not really very spectacular but exciting to see never the less. But very hard to get a good picture of them. I saw 8 on that day but too fast to photograph. The fireworks and lighted boats are just a build up to the fireballs. I was not a believer in them before that night. But I could see from being there that they were natural.

Wow! Thanks for posting this, FarangNyai. I've always wanted to see these fireballs and now I have. My life's dream is complete. The amazing this is that the people who invented fireworks must have got their idea from these fireballs. Fantastic!
