Neither dragons nor large mammals on your shoulder, nor rock and roll music can affect the concentration. Makes me feel like i should develop a thicker skin for distractions...
Practicing with loud rock n' roll in the background and animals crawling over you; This must be an advanced new form of training to develop good concentration. Impressive.
Hi Celia, thank you for the video, I wish you success and I look forward to watch you playing this or any other music of your choosing; I worship your Tristan and Isolde Love Death, hahaha :D
Celia, You are the sharpest in reply to any comment. I read that you are home schooled and you display very high intellectual qualities. In other words you are a v ery smart girl.
Additionally it is great to have a new video from you to enjoy.
@MattheCrazyScientist In the first sequence (with the lizard), I am practicing Sonata No. 8, Op. 84 in B -flat major by Prokofiev while Love Gun by Kiss & The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is playing in the background. In the second sequence - (with the kitten), I am practicing Toccata, by Ravel with Ride My See-Saw by The Moody Blues & The Colorado Symphony Orchestra in the background.
Very nice! Your cat is hilarious, perched on your shoulder like that. And you're fantastic at playing. You actually were one of my primary inspirations to start playing piano, about two years ago. I'm thinking about posting videos of my playing as well. I'm not nearly as good as you, but people say that I'm good for only having two years of practice, and being self taught the whole time. Anyway, I think that you should try to do more videos, if you can. They're great!
@babysteinway We have 2 kittens. Sucia, our senior 20 y/o siamese cat, died on 12-19-11 of kidney failure. She also liked the piano. But, I didn't have to worry about her climbing INSIDE of the piano. The kittens? My Mom nearly had a Brain Stroke-Heart Attack when one of them dragged a piece of fake x-mas tree to the bridge inside of the piano. We have a fake xmas tree inside because me & my Dad are allergic to real trees.
Sucia can be found at the very end of my Piano Prodigy Parody video.
@babysteinway I know about Ravel/Cats. Just now, Lily was sitting with me nicely while I was practicing Ravel's Toccata when Rose came out of nowhere with a blue ring seal from the lizard's water bottle. Before I could stop her, she dropped it on the C sharp key. Well, Lily is no saint, either. She likes to try to knock over Kizsemana's cricket tube container. Between the possibility of Rose ruining the piano and Lily getting bugs everywhere, my Mom is headed towards a big nervous breakdown.
@ailecec personally i keep my piano closed all the time (except when i have students) since i heard this horrific story from my piano tuner. one of his clients cats used the $100,000 Steinway as a litter box!!! since it was in the basement right next to a very dirty litter box!! Imagine that!! Sometimes my 10 year old siamese cat tries to sneak into my piano during lesson, to sit on the strings, i guess?..lol.. keep an eye on Lily and Rose, to protect your mom's nerves and your precious piano :)
@Bramborail Thank You. I wish I had a tape with Rose the siamese kitten (she is Lily's sister), but it is hard to pin her down. She prefers to sit on the hammers and strings inside of the piano rather than watch me play the keyboard. I can't play the piano and have Rose inside the piano at the same time, otherwise, something might get broken.
If he stays close to the door, he can put (rest) the camera to the door rhimse and the picture wont be shaking, because the camera will kind of become the part of the house.
@Bramborail I checked out the piano room door that leads to the outside. Using that door is a problem for several reasons. For one thing, leaving it open will allow Lily, Rose, & Kizsemana to escape. For another, since it is a door that leads to the outside, keeping it open in order to set a camera up properly will get the blinds all dirty and I really do not have time to wash them.
wao you grew up i dont even recognized you nice im practicing a bit of tchaikovsky no 1 piano concerto 4 days practicing 8 to 12 hours will upload what im doing now very soon
what a contrast between rock n roll and classical music.. it must be annoying though, not to be able to study in peace x) can't believe you're so grown up now, time flies! i still remember watching you for the first time on your Sacro Monte video years ago.. :) keep rocking (that piano)! .:P
@ileana86224 It's OK. I sing along to the rock n roll in my head while learning to fine tune the timing of my fingerings, jumps, and cross-overs on the keyboard. Once I have that under my belt, I use the electric piano w/earphones or wait until the house is empty and quiet to work on the "music".
Love the kitty too! lol How can you concentrate with it on your shoulders? lol Love it!

she seems to be dozing off on your rocking shoulders :)
did you know that Ravel enjoyed gardening and entertaining his beloved Siamese cats...isn't that interesting, why Lily loves Ravel...
just curious...how many Siamese cats/kittens do you have?

@ailecec To not get somehow confused by my unsure english, and for you to have the right picture of my words, there is a picture: twitpic.com;842xk7
It is sometimes possible to use house this way and it helps for a better video.(Just a fast idea for a fast solution)
I did not mean for setting a camera, but now you know.Maybe the door wont need to be opened, like mine.
