@mntmichele Kevin and I were having a race; he seeing if he could change the tire, me seeing if I could get the tow organized under BMW Roadside assistance.
Very cool video. I have ridden up to Prudhoe Bay on the Dalton Highway several times (on a GS, then a GS Adv then the 800GS) but the Dempster is still on my 'to ride' list :) Happy travels.
Hey, this is wonderful. I'm planning a trip up north and your videos are giving me a heads up on what to expect. I'll be watching them all next week...
Exactly when will you "upcoming" DVD actually "coming", it's been almost two years already since you posted this, the same applies to Australia Inside Out, the "upcoming" licensing agreement doesn't seem to be "coming up", should I check back in say six? maybe eight years?
@onewheeldrive O.K. Maybe it's time to change the description, what formats are worth the effort? Downloading maybe? Point us to the site where you can download this shit and I'll be glad to pay for it. Same applies to Australia IO, is nowhere to be found (legally).
@BeemerTwelve No, but I'm afraid since then I've been working full time ++ at a tech start up and don't have the bandwidth to do a recut. Real job, before the fun one.
I enjoyed your video so far.. if you will please tell me?? Can you give me the exact location on Arctic Circle sign on Dempster Hwy?? I have been searching for it. I plan to travel to AK and will go to Arctic Circle sign 60 miles south of ColdFoot AK, but what about Yukon? And is there one or two Arctic Circle sign in Yukon?? I was told there was 2 total? 1 in AK and 1 in Yukon?? Thanks in advance for answering!
@onewheeldrive Especially true on the Dempster with all that crushed shale. It wears your tires down pretty fast too, but I have the feeling you found that out too. I did the Hwy in a car ending up with one flat (I got off easy) but had to have a full set of new tires flown into Inuvik from Edmonton before I could do the return trip. I LOVED my trip and even managed to see the Anuual Arts and Cultural Festival while up there.
A, what did you edit it with, B you should have had a proper mic with a full wind muff on it. otherwise it is a trip i will duplicate in the next few years on my f650GS twin. thanks for posting.
Great vids guys. I did the trip in July 09 on a 07 Ural Patrol. The weather for me was more cooperative, though the dust was incredible. Got a clogged airfilter on the way back even though I cleaned it at the hotel in Inuvik! Luckily I had packed a spare along with 20 Liters of gas. Will do it on two wheels someday. Cheers!
@a3519 Sorry for the delay in answering. You can get all those gory details in the review posted on our site OneWheelDrive(dot)Net. It is an exhaustive compo between the three bikes.
I love these vids. Very professional, as if not more so than Ewan McBoorman's LWD/R series. Love ur strobing taillight, did u do that urself, is it a BMW option or an aftermarket addon?
LOL - I think the flicker is a interaction between the scan rates of the camera and the LEDs used for the tail lights. It was a constant running light to the human eye.
Thanks, regarding the LWD/R comment, we're a different approach and super-small time by comparison. I have full respect for what C and E have done.
@onewheeldrive oh man, i HAVE to do this! I'm only 25 but have enough motorcycle trips planned for a lifetime now thanks to you (and Ewan and Ted Simon)

@majadahonda We gave up on the DVD distribution. It wasn't worth the effort for a fading format.

Very nice! You guys should concider selling this to some network!
How did the bikes hold up?
Did you have any second thoughts about going on BMW:s? I´m thinking of the reliability issues, EWS failure that can leave you stranded and so on..
Thanks!
