This AO was indeed a sweet victory for Serena. One that I will always cherish. I can't believe how the commentators, media, fans and former players trashed her throughout the event. Their comments were mean-spirited and very unprofessional.

This was probably one of the MOST compelling performances in Tennis History! 2 Top Prime Players in a GS Final, with one being totally dismantled and crucified! Only the Serena of 2002-03 could live with this Serena here! Anyone else....TOAST!!

@rnndy This was a Fluke??? Lol. Sharapova was destroyed by a 'serious' Serena. The only other BIG slaughter of 2 Top women seeds in a GS Final was when Steffi Graff smashed Monica Seles @Wimbledon Final 1992. Even that was small-fry compared to this pummelling! Lol. Sharapova winning Wimbledon 2004 against a poorly Serena was a fluke! Especially as she couldn't repeat that win. Even out-of-shape Serena still smashed Sharapova en-route to winning Wimbledon 2010. Nuff said!

I really do want this aggressive, take-care-of-business Serena back really bad!!! I really like it when Serena has her serious game-face on and stares people down occassionally. She is becomming too bubbly on the court, and I hope that that doesn't take away from her fighting spirit.

i thiught this was for 2004 wimbledon, the chair ump, gave maria that one, and she beat serena fair and square at the year end tourament, and serena paid her back in full, and maria haven't won against serena since.

This was by far the best win of her career because people were trashing Serena so much about her weight and fitness and look at how Serena moped the court with Sharapova! GO SERENA! I love this song, awesome choice.
