  • Accidents do happen and when you're out there actually IN the storm, you do what you can, I commend you guys. Not every chase is perfect, you can't always get the shot you'd like and still come out alive and unscathed.

  • who would have thought i could fall asleep during a tornado video?

  • @boik02 then they should've just entitled this pointless video as "what happens when 'human instinct to survive' kicks into gear DURING a Tornado". I commend their effort but ultimately this video excerpt falls short of anything even remotely worthwhile. Good luck selling your little DVD thing.

  • I would destroy this video if you ever decide to go into the storm chasing tour business. LOL.

  • very brave...but not a good camera man...seen a whole lot of nothing. Next time you risk your life for footage, hold the camera up so you have something worth the risk. I don't know, but all I saw was laptop!

  • @Skyywatcher88

getting into the debris is USUALLY a sign your close. I as well would have put the camera down. human instinct to survive at this point comes in.

  • Thanks for sharing :) Very brave of you to do this :)

  • well....we all just seen some nice video of the Violent Yazoo City laptop.

  • @scanm502 Yeah...I guess that's why several national media outlets purchased the video to air in primetime. Take a tip from the old chaser book. If you don't know what you're doing, stay out of the pig-pen

However, We did in fact capture some good footage of the tornado just before this clip began, but that will be reserved for our upcoming DVD to be released this fall.

  • @TexasStormChasers If YOU had taken a tip from the old chaser book, you would have known not to get that close to a tornado in the first place.there is plenty of video on you tube of chasers filming the action as they run from the danger.you however chose to film your laptop as you left the scene.so next time you decide to chase a storm and if you do have to run away ....film it.

  • This is how you DO NOT chase a tornado. Immature, reckless, and dangerous to others on the road. Idiots.

  • @Ro11TheHardSix Thanks for reiterating exactly what we wrote above! Of course this was unintentional. There's really no point in coming on here just to make yourself seem intelligent by belittling others when those "others" have already stated what you intend to use as an insult.

  • The words don't bother me you gotta protect your videos someway!

  • Hey Guys, this is fellow chaser Joel Ewing. Hearty CONGRATS for bagging this monster. And for sure, I commend you for not totally filling the interior of your vehicle with cuss words. At Aurora (Neb.) last 6-17, we almost got hit, and I filled the sky with bad phrases. I took a direct hit one week later in N. Central Nebraska and I think I prayed out loud (with sincerity) more than I sweared, but it was a close tie. Again...my best congrats to you two.

  • Is this not the same Tornado footage that was shown on The Weather Channel shortly after it was shot?? and I thought someone else was taking credit for this film....I thought a guy with a different name was talking to them live...

  • @loppfarms Kris Hair was there as well, and I know both this footage and his were shown. There may have been a mix up with the names, but whenever I've seen it, it's been correct.

  • Is this not the same Tornado futage that was seen on the Weather Channel just shortly after this was shot???

  • Suggest you guys wear helmets and face shields to reduce the potential injury risk.

  • Probably was not a nice day for a picnic O_O

  • Scary. Stay safe guys

  • Nice view of the laptop

  • rookies, take some pointers from people who actually get them on camera

  • More chasers need to invest in dash-mounted video. So many potenially classic videos ruined by the need to put down the viedo camera. Grrr.

  • @afrosheenqueen We have a dash mount, actually, but didn't see the need to use it given the new camera on the roof, and because we weren't planning on getting this close. Clearly we were wrong! Next time (this thursday?) we'll have a camera mounted!

  • Nice Video, copyright is understandable.

  • the videos from these guys suck cuz of the stupid words plastered all over the place. unsubscribe

  • @strdog I'm sorry we don't like our video being used without our permission, so we had to make it impossible for you to watch the video because you just can't get over the semi-transparent text that covers none of the important stuff. Next time, I'll make it a tiny bit more convenient for you to steal our video!

  • @David Reimer @ Connor McCrorey

Who exactly were you guys honking at? lmao

    Hows the truck btw

  • @certhaltomcity That was an 18 wheeler we had a bit of a close call with haha

  • @TexasStormChasers lol to bad you didnt catch that on cam, im sure some driver safety geeks would have loved that one

  • @AllSoCal WOW what a low life. lol bet your ass is getting sued and you deserve it!!!

You and your ilk are the reason I have ZERO respect for news media dude.

  • Lots of jealous/assholic comments by people after getting decent footage of a tornado that wasn't recorded by anybody else.

    Insecure much?

    Thanks for the video.

  • @broncoj20 Reed Timmer got this one, actually. That was the first place I saw any footage of it. Of course, compared to this footage, Reed's is mundane - standard safe distance. But we get as good a shot as one can expect from this storm, with all its precipitation. It was three times as wide as it was tall.

  • @Asterra2 Reed is a self centered prick.

  • @LifeInATent AMEN!!!!!

  • @certhaltomcity "LIAT likes this comment"

  • @LifeInATent Timmer reminds me of the Jonas Brothers.....adolecent and annoying as hell

  • @certhaltomcity - Agreed

  • Nice...a video about a keyboard and laptop...

  • It's a video of a laptop keyboard for the most part, and the 3 seconds of tornado had to be pointed out

  • This clip could have been shortened by about 1 minute and 40 seconds.

  • LMAO. Debris flying across the road ahead, let's go forward. Brilliant idea. :)

  • @Pyrotech56 Yeah it looked like that's what it was, but the tornado was actually overtaking us from the side, we were driving away!

  • must have been weak at that point, NWS is thinking it was an EF4 by the time it hit the city

  • @PyroChemicals It was very strong at this point, we just managed to get to the southern fringe of it, away from the strong/violent winds.
