@Melissa78410 You are very welcome!! That's why i put videos like this on here so that it will help other people diagnose their furnace and its problems.
If i were you i would look for a good technician who knows what he is doing! Look online and find reviews for HVAC companies and find the one that has the best reviews. Most work on a furnace is pretty easy that anyone can be capable of doing it as long as they learn the basics of how they work and what each part does. Thanks for comment
@Nowayout360 Either a Carrier or a Rheem/Ruud. This is a reliable system i have now, it just needs a pressure switch and maybe a flame sensor at one point then it will be working perfectly again. Its probably going to be a while before we get a new system, unless it dies before then.
That's Crazy, our Rheem Criterion had a relay that went bad so it wouldn't cycle through the glow plug start up- these Rheem's are very reliable until they stop working. LOL!
My criterion 2 is a 1997 but I've never had any type of malfunction in all those years, mine has the older pressure switch that is metal on the front side.
@84randomdude LOL! yeah the pressure switch will have to be replaced some time. If this ever happened to your unit, then you would have to replace the switch right away because it would be very difficult to get down in your crawlspace and try to get it working! Although 90+ percent furnaces like yours have a different type of pressure switches and they don't go bad as often as the 80% furnace pressure switches do.
Thank you so much!! We've already spent $180 on a repair man who didn't do anything!!
I tapped it and it worked!! I feel confident because of your videos that I will be able to replace it!!
Thank you so much!!

@AVTreasures I have a plastic one and it is cheap! The metal ones seem to be more reliable than these cheap plastic ones.
compdude957 11 months ago
wow! glad I don't have to do that to our furnace! since it is located under the house in the crawlspace. lol!
