I used to feel the same way about the interviewer as many other ppl did- but as I continued watching I realize it's just an on air "personality." He is standoffish and awkward on purpose and you'll rarely see him laugh, much in the same way you wouldn't see Chelsea Lately laugh if she were giving the interview. Both get flack for it but it comes down to your sense of humor.
