@inkwon84 it's the regular SD cutaway, the fishman pickup comes with built in tuner. the non cutaway version just has a soundhole volume control. the songbird is an entry level version and the "standard" version is actually their higher end version.
I agree 100 percent its one of the best sounding guitars i ever heard
i played some taylors and martins but they did not have the tone of the song writer deluxe i would buy it again if i had to this guitar reminds me of the gibson humming bird it just hums when you play it i fell in love with mine the first time i played it i played 5 mins and then walked out the door with it.
Is that plugged in because I wasn't to impressed with the gibson's unplugged. I am assuming that its either the strings, it needs to loosen up or all of the above. I like the way it looks and feels.
I like low action, so tweaked the truss rod slightly, replaced the stock saddle with a TUSQ replacement saddle which I filed down nice and low and use 12s.
Hi DJ, I'd say that its strength is as a strummer, it's great with a plectrum, really takes hard playing well, even unplugged it' s LOUD, but balanced and the pickup is flexible+does a good job live.
For fingerstyle, it's got a wide 1 3/4 neck, but wouldn't recommend it primarily for that, don't find it too comfortable for that style.
Overall, looks great, sounds great, so if it's got mojo when you play it and you get a good deal, go for it :)
Ive had my guitar on this guitar for a while and im almost at the point where ive saved up enough money to go out and buy one. Ive played it several times at my local guitar seller and i was just wondering what your take is on this guitar and if there is any info i should know or any problems you have with it before purchasing.
Nice playing

It feels like a humming bird and has the weight of one as well.
it also sounds like one but it rings louder than a humming bird in my opinion
