  • Does this man know what he is talking about? Independent people? Ha. The Navajos ik knock on the door asking for food, the Navajos ik are racist and stuck up, the Navajos ik talk bad about black, white, and Mexican people.

  • Shima azee, so that your youth are never lost...

  • get over it its the white mans world now get used to it we out number you by billions

  • @RIPCraigjackson It is not the point. We may out number them, but their spirit remains strong. In case you haven't noticed, we took the land from them years ago. It was wrong of us, and also wrong of us to try and change their ways. I am glad to see that some of their culture remains alive. So, all I have to say is, props to the Natives for trying to bring back the ways of old.

  • man this sucks we need to react to this we need a movement !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bordertowns are rich from Navajo dollars. Gallup, Mckinley county has the most white MILLIONAIRES in one county in the U.S....... and Is in the top 5 poorest counties in the U.S. Natives need to cooperate and support native businesses and demand more business development from "leaders" in Window Rock, Az. who have fake meetings when its Rodeo season in La$ Vega$, Nevada. It's a start to keep native dollars on the Navajo Nation.

  • peace from mississippi

  • K’é

  • My Heart Breaks for Mother, Dine, and Spirit Being Within.

The US Government was never honorable to you from the time they made you "long walk". Enduring to the end is worth it, because what you fight for is Mother Earth. She is center, without her we would cease to be. The giver of all life, the reason we walk, the reason we fight, the reason we are willing to die. I am not American Indian, I am of Mother though, I am Indigo, and my Heart Breaks for You All. Blessings

  • Great man...

  • its the goverment who put us in this shit!!. skull and crossbones the illuminati. they use TV and music on TV to control us.. they try to copy what they see on TV. they did it to us. "the long walk" "wounded knee" ect ect. they did it to the blacks, the did it to the mexicans, now their doing it to Iraq!!!... its time to stop all this hate and realize who the real enemy is and fight! and a US soldier is not a warrior. they kill their own people over seas. a warrior fights for his people.

  • I dream for your people!!!!!!!!!!!!! i want to be a help to your people.

As a Jew I feel similarly to my homeland as well, and I want your nation to become free of US government controlling your power, your lives. I am a big believer for your people because of your long lasted traditions, culture, faith.

If there is anything I can do, from afar, let me know??

I also am interested in learning languages, how can i learn yours the best??

  • Its sad to see a school that is run by a non-native american...that tells his staff and children not speak in their native tounge around them..

Sound familar?? Back then weren't children punish for speaking their native tounge? Yes, it still stands in one school, in New Mexico. People did try to gather up the parents to protest against it. But the parents are young and don't care about their tradtion.... I'm a young parent, but I'm doing my best so my child would be able to speak in navajo.

  • Not all is lost as long as there are people still speaking Navajo fluently. The elders that speak the language fluently would make better teachers in Indian schools. Why? They model Indian behaviors that are appropriate. They are the most precious wisdom keepers. It's still not too late.

  • arickisvym i disagree. the meaning of a navajo is knowing the language and the culture. i know the language and teaching. the white ppl have destroyed who we are. it is ppl like you, who dont take the teachings and use it and pass it down. the language has everything to do with being a navajo. the language is the key to understand the full meaning of the teachings and you sayin we need to keep it alive. i think you need to learn the language to get the full understanding.

  • I think that it is a must to keep the Dine culture alive because alot of the youth have loss it but we got to let them know that even if you can't speak the native tongue that you can still be proud to be Dine. Being Dine is so much more that knowing how to speak Navajo. It's about being proud of who you are. Dine people are proud people and for centuries the white men have tried to destroy that. I can't speak my native tongue but there is not one day that goes by that I am not proud to be Dine.

  • Thanks for sharing it

  • My motivation is love for this land.. and YES the future... the future... the future... im stressed.. the Government.. Me im a Prime example because I lost my tradition I dont even kno how to speak my own language... But i will never forget who i am.. I will never for get where i came from... and I will never forget that little bit of spirit in me that makes me who i am 2day... its just too much... I feel your pain... i cant even eat...

  • I agree. Great clip. Have a nice weekend. I am doing a report on this. Thanks for taking the time to do this work. Best wishes.

  • i am so mad bout the whie man just took our land

  • we are all mad jost ask the blacks and asians and latins

  • @hiimnativeboy the white man maybe took the native lands but they never took away navajo land. Navajo Nation is still in the 4 sacred mountains. Dine' Bi'keeyah 4 Life

  • Keep up the pressure. Native Americans protesting ecotastrophes gets notice. The drilling in Utah's national forests was largely cancelled by Obama's administration....HOPE.

  • i lived on the Navajo rez and its a third world...My grampa was a Spanish/Navajo he spoke both languages and were slaves to the Spanish settlers.

  • Thanks! We were so honored to interview Norman out at Red Rocks State Park this fall.

    Thanks for stopping by.
