I will always consider it my home although I have been gone for so long. My father used to be a teacher and then principal of the schools there. Thanks for the memories.
My grandparent have a cabin up ther what it farily small what i love going up to . It is wherer macy creek is about on the bottom of the mountin it's pretty cool.
I came out with my family from the mid 70's for about 5 years to Horn Creek. Subscribed to the Wet Mountain tribune for yrs here to Illinois. Who ever bought the 3 inch thick slate top pool table that was in the Feed mill at that time. It was before the building was developed at all. We rode our minibikes as a family all over the valley floor as 11-16 yr olds, up and down rainbow, visited the original german couple who told us the story of how Hollywood blew up their cabin without permission and
my family as well has a cabin in the great town of westcliffe, its amazing out there, not a thing to do in town, and thats just how i like it, the view is lookin over the valley at the Sangre de Cristo mountain range and its amazing. The Beckwith ranch is awesome as well, cant wait to get back out there for some more hiking. Thank you for the video
I check in every so often just to see some of the sights.. The old mill (the big red building with FEED on it) was owned by my best friend's Dad.. lots of history in that bldg.. it was moved from another location waaaaay back... and Jones Theater.. I used to work at the Putt-a-Round mini-golf there... Don't know what ya got 'til you move away I 'spose.
Thanks again.. and .. isn't it time for another postcard???
