  • I will take any Tesoro metal detector over those ones made by 1st Texas out in El Paso w/ the exception being a Fisher f70, f75 or t2

  • I would dig the Teknetics signal. It is in the ring gold range and erratic. That is often a coin spill or some kind of jewelry.

  • Hey, Mike: Tom from Burnsville, checking in. This was a good video you did because it was short, right to the point, and what a good point it was. I should try my Cibola more over my Whites VID next season. See you in the summer, and again, great job of getting to the truth/results of what all Detectorists are after.

  • The reason i ask, is that I can't hardly find ANY videos on the Cortes (none in English anyway)....do you know anyone with a Cortes? How are they getting along?

  • I have a Cibola and love it too :)

  • No I think the Tesoros with the VID's would still separate well and they have their uses. I guess more or less the Teknetics is really bouncy.

  • So are you against the Tesoro's with VID?

  • I feel the same way. Tesoro makes some great detectors. My 14 year old uMax Bandido is still a great detector. They back them up with lifetime warranties too, although I've never needed it, mine has been 100% reliable. Just wipe it down with a damp rag after use and store it with the battery out of the detector and I think it will last forever. Mine paid for a itself a long time ago with the amount of silver it's found.

  • I couldn't agree more. This is one of the reasons I am a huge Tesoro fan
