I Seem to be in a similar boat here-- trying to sort through the nonsense and trying not to be dragged down by the negative people. The rapture will occur and satan is acting(showing up his vessels on the lower atmosphere) according the "strong delusion" sent by God in 2Thess2:11 so the rapture will take place but the unbelievers will be fooled by the media that will affirm the rapture was done by Aliens and will push them to support a global unification of the gov's to fight back the aliens(THE UFOs of GOD's Army that are closing the perimeter around the Earth inside of Solar System).

Pretty lady, but not too smart and without a sense of geek-humor. Nobel-prize winner economist Paul Krugman was obviously having some fun with his hypothesis that a huge disaster/war would shift priorities resulting in a more productive economy. Worked for economically collapsed, post-world war I Germany, resulting in WWII. Nobody says the aliens are coming.
BTW, Fareed's last name is pronounces Zakaria (accent on second A; last A also pronounced) It's hard when you never watch his show.
