@TACO9080 Every armor on Monster Hunter has it's own unique capabilities. A reason he might have chosen the leather set is because of the skills it gives, for example, one skill decreases the chance of the gathering item "Breaking", and another skill increases the speed he "Gathers". Don't go knocking down an armor and calling it "Noob" if you don't know what it actually does. Even I use the Leather Set for gathering purposes.

Okay so it's been seven months so this probably isn't useful to you.

Lag isn't really a big factor, because when you lag, you see the monster and your teammates in a different place than they really are. So like, if you're lagging, you might be fighting the monster in one place, but on a teammate's screen, it's a few yards away. It generally doesn't disrupt gameplay at all, though.
