I'm Swedish and I think too that Swedbank and the other banks that made bad loans to Latvia should take the hit. Our finance minister is a real whore to the bankers in Sweden though, I don't care if the Swedbank (and the other banks) collapse, it's their own fault, we nationalized these in the 90s when they crashed we can do it again and we don't have to pay shit to any banker. Unfortunately that won't happen again, as all politicians both in Sweden and Latvia are whores of the bankers.

Hmm well the problem arises when under corporate law, if you own shares in another corporation you HAVE TO by law protect your shareholders interests & so you can't do anything which might adversely affect the corporation you own stock in.. that basically makes a 'web' of co-ownership that acts as a 'global' cartel.
