The fastest production car in the world is the American made SSC Ultimate Aero TT which hit 256.18 mph in completely stock form and runs 9.9 in the 1/4 mile. Puts out about 1146 hp and weighs about 2850 lbs. The Koesnigsegg CCX runs high 10s from what I've seen online.

Everyone and their mother, hell, even their dog has a mustang. yes, some kick ass, but Chevy's all around kick ass. maybe they dont need a ton of different cars, just one kick ass ZR1 to kick your little GT's ass.
Yeah everyone has a Mustang but that's because they're the best bang for buck car you can get in American. $27k will get you a brand new 315 hp GT. $20k will get you a 390 hp 2004 Cobra. $5-10k will get you a nice 260 hp 2003 Mustang GT. They're also very easy to modify with thousands of different parts available and easy to get tons of power and speed from. And unlike the ZR1 this thing seats 4 and offers plenty of comforts.

a turbo is run of the exhaust fumes and takes it back through the engine which creates more top end power . were as a super charger is run off the engine its self and it pushes the fuel and air into the combustion chamber at at a very high speed which make's the engine turn a lot quicker which creates more power and there for the make the car move a lot quicker

The Super Snake has a 5.4 HO V8 with a supercharger and various other performance parts...The ZR1 has a 6.2 HO V8 with a better supercharger and various other performance parts...stock from the factory the ZR1 is pushing 638 horses. The Super Snake is only pushing about 545 550. Just thought i would clarify some things.
A muscle car has a Large,high gas consuming V-8. They also are ,heavy and simple.They tend to have good acceleration but poor handling.They are meant to be inexpensive.

Maybe 750hp from Shelby but not from the Ford factory. The ZR1 will kill it in any performance category. The 600hp SuperSnake is running times close to a 405hp C5Z so I doubt another 150 will put it anywhere near a ZR1
It is a 725 HP package. The GT500 is a 500hp pkg. with a set of (10" wide) DR's it runs the 1320 in approx 10.8, depending on the driver. This is a 4000+ lbs car the ZR1 is running about the same 1320 on a 13" (wide) tire, thats a lot of rubber it has 90 to 100 less hp and is about 1000 pounds lighter. This equals 2 great cars. Lets not pull hairs over 2 cars of which neither you will ever own.
A stock GT500 does not run 10.80's. With some mods anything is possible. And yes there are some 600hp Supersnakes that run about what a C5Z does. A C6z will kill it, nevermind the new ZR1. If I wanted a C6Z or GT500, I could buy one. A new ZR1 is out of my price range. IU'm happy with my stock motor C5Z running 11.6@120. It easily crushes the GT500.
There are 2 Super Snake Packages.1 605hp version and the Warranty voiding 725hp package. With that said the 725hp version with a set of MT ET Street tires will turn (driver depending) a 10.8.This was done at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. There have also been recorded times as low as 10.57's.With some mods the GT500 base model can see upwards of 800rwhp with stock block and internals. Too bad your stock short block will never see that. FYI, You can buy anything that comes with a payment book.

Alright this will be my last post on the subject. On the corvetteforumdot com there is a list of the fastest C6Z's. These are NOT even ZR1's These have non stock tires just like the Supersnake does in the Muscle Mustangs test. They ran MT ET STREETS. Note that the top Z06 is quicker at 10.83 to the SuperSnake's 10.87. And it did this without a supercharger. ALSO NOTE THAT THE Z06 HAS ABOUT 220 LESS HP. The ZR1 is quicker than the Z06 and is a better car than the Z06 or any of the Supersnakes.

i dont mean for any of this to sound insulting so im sorry if this does and i respect your knowledge, but it just doesnt sound right. from what ive learned the fuel injection isnt changed with the installation of a turbo or supercharger, but the computer or carbuerator compensate for the extra air being forced into the engine with more fuel.
look up aspiration in the dictionary. aspiration is all about the air intake. the vacuum does suck in the fuel along with the air, but through different pathways. if the fuel was sucked into the supercharger it would ignite. too much compression. it would do the same thing as a diesel engine. they work by compressing the fuel so much it ignites, and superchargers create as much compression as a diesel engine does. sometimes more.
the mustang is considered a sports car too. muscle car is a classification given by the people that love the car and advertisements. and there are supercharged corvettes by the way. and u do know that aspiration has nothing to do with fuel right? but of course, your a chevy lover, u know everything. aspiration is air intake, not fuel. fuel isnt even drwn in by vacuum, its called a fuel injecter. which is connected to a fuel pump. so no vacuum there.

To those of you who compare this to any Corvette...Z06 or whatever, there are no similarities. The corvette is no longer a Muscle car, so don't even compare it. It's like a foreign exotic. And, 'naturally aspired' yes it's faster, lighter and more aerodynamic, but it also has a much larger engine. Ford even used the 5.4L in the Ford GT...theres really no comparison here, the GT500 is a legend, while the Corvette is a foreign counterfeit now.

a turbo is run of the exhaust fumes and takes it back through the engine which creates more top end power . were as a super charger is run off the engine its self and it pushes the fuel and air into the combustion chamber at at a very high speed which make's the engine turn a lot quicker which creates more power and there for the make the car move a lot quicker

The Super Snake has a 5.4 HO V8 with a supercharger and various other performance parts...The ZR1 has a 6.2 HO V8 with a better supercharger and various other performance parts...stock from the factory the ZR1 is pushing 638 horses. The Super Snake is only pushing about 545 550. Just thought i would clarify some things.

A muscle car has a Large,high gas consuming V-8. They also are ,heavy and simple.They tend to have good acceleration but poor handling.They are meant to be inexpensive.
EX:1970 Shelby GT 500 w/ 428 Cobra Jet
A sports car is built for more precise handling and braking. They boast high acceleration,low weight and usually don't require a large engine for large amounts of torque and HP.They are more carefully engineered and usually expensive.

Thats a pretty freakin' large engine for 8 Cylinders...Take the Enzo Ferrari for example. It has a V-12 Engine that only has 366 Cubic Inches of Displacement. The ZR-1 Engine has 389 CI for 4 less cylinders... Size per banger, its a pretty large engine

Maybe 750hp from Shelby but not from the Ford factory. The ZR1 will kill it in any performance category. The 600hp SuperSnake is running times close to a 405hp C5Z so I doubt another 150 will put it anywhere near a ZR1

It is a 725 HP package. The GT500 is a 500hp pkg. with a set of (10" wide) DR's it runs the 1320 in approx 10.8, depending on the driver. This is a 4000+ lbs car the ZR1 is running about the same 1320 on a 13" (wide) tire, thats a lot of rubber it has 90 to 100 less hp and is about 1000 pounds lighter. This equals 2 great cars. Lets not pull hairs over 2 cars of which neither you will ever own.

A stock GT500 does not run 10.80's. With some mods anything is possible. And yes there are some 600hp Supersnakes that run about what a C5Z does. A C6z will kill it, nevermind the new ZR1. If I wanted a C6Z or GT500, I could buy one. A new ZR1 is out of my price range. IU'm happy with my stock motor C5Z running 11.6@120. It easily crushes the GT500.

There are 2 Super Snake Packages.1 605hp version and the Warranty voiding 725hp package. With that said the 725hp version with a set of MT ET Street tires will turn (driver depending) a 10.8.This was done at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. There have also been recorded times as low as 10.57's.With some mods the GT500 base model can see upwards of 800rwhp with stock block and internals. Too bad your stock short block will never see that. FYI, You can buy anything that comes with a payment book.

Kenne Bell makes super chargers for all the cars not just Mustangs so a biased opinion is not a problem. They have the facts of the Super Snake on there home page. RHM dont get me wrong, I think the new Z06 and ZR1 are pretty fucking bad ass. I would love to have the new Z06 with HCI and exhaust it is a 600hp car. Thats awesome.

Alright this will be my last post on the subject. On the corvetteforumdot com there is a list of the fastest C6Z's. These are NOT even ZR1's These have non stock tires just like the Supersnake does in the Muscle Mustangs test. They ran MT ET STREETS. Note that the top Z06 is quicker at 10.83 to the SuperSnake's 10.87. And it did this without a supercharger. ALSO NOTE THAT THE Z06 HAS ABOUT 220 LESS HP. The ZR1 is quicker than the Z06 and is a better car than the Z06 or any of the Supersnakes.

The GTX1 isn't even a production car. It's an aftermarket upgrade. The Ford GT isn't running near a ZR1 with 11.2 times in the quarter. That's ony a few tenths faster than my times in my stock motor C5Z. FYI The C6Z's and ZR1's are running in the 10's...STOCK.

Look up how unsuccessful the new GT's are at LeMans and then how dominant the C6R's are and then rethink your statement about the GT being a superior track car. It isn't the 60's anymore and things have changed. Read my other post too and you will see why the GTX1 should not be brought into a comparison either.

I said that muscle cars DO have a back seat, and I included mustang, gto, camaro, challenger, firebird, etc. A corvette or a viper or a GT40 are not muscle cars, they are two-door sports cars, all of them bordering on supercar status. For the record, there are four mustangs in my family, and we bleed ford blue. Among them is a shelby GT500, so I think I'd know what i'm talking about when I speak of the muscle car category.

ye, if the current fuel pump or injectors cant keep up then new ones have to be put in. but the computer or carbuerator still control them. im building up a 67 cougar and plan on putting a twin screw s/c on its 302. ill check it out crefully to see wheter im wrong or right.

i dont mean for any of this to sound insulting so im sorry if this does and i respect your knowledge, but it just doesnt sound right. from what ive learned the fuel injection isnt changed with the installation of a turbo or supercharger, but the computer or carbuerator compensate for the extra air being forced into the engine with more fuel.

look up aspiration in the dictionary. aspiration is all about the air intake. the vacuum does suck in the fuel along with the air, but through different pathways. if the fuel was sucked into the supercharger it would ignite. too much compression. it would do the same thing as a diesel engine. they work by compressing the fuel so much it ignites, and superchargers create as much compression as a diesel engine does. sometimes more.

To those of you who compare this to any Corvette...Z06 or whatever, there are no similarities. The corvette is no longer a Muscle car, so don't even compare it. It's like a foreign exotic. And, 'naturally aspired' yes it's faster, lighter and more aerodynamic, but it also has a much larger engine. Ford even used the 5.4L in the Ford GT...theres really no comparison here, the GT500 is a legend, while the Corvette is a foreign counterfeit now.
