  • Man against gook.

  • my grand father gets tears when he hears this song he served in the army as a ranger during vietnam he says he might be old but he still can kick some ass in the jungle xD

  • To all the Vietnam vets out there, Thank you for YOUR service. Sincerly yours from douchebagistan.

  • metallica is way betteorool

  • @awokwaphu haha shut up your faggot, ccr didn't have to sell themselves out to make records. they didn't go with what was "hip", and btw pantera is way better than metallica

  • Makes me wanna go play some BF: Vietnam!!

  • I'm here because of Black Ops

  • this song stikll kicks ass from the vietnom war

  • @ultigamer Butans government. They measure their GDP in happiness.

I see what your saying, in terms of countries that mean anything on the World stage I.E Britain, France, Brazil, USA, India and China in that ofcourse there are underhand and corrupt things going on, but most Americans (including your Government) will completely refuse to see the damage and deaths caused by their own country (for example vietnam).

The reality is America does have an Empire at the moment, in everything but name.

  • I recently saw a picture of Nicki Minaj. I immediately typed this song in the address bay to get back in touch with reality.

  • Stop fucking fighting about stupid COD, if you are here listening to this you have a good taste in music, doesn't matter what sent you here.

  • I love listening to this while playing Black Ops.. COD girl and proud.

  • @MistyLMR - - When you get body parts severed by machine gun or soon to be puking guts out day after day while you slowly die from radio active poisoning, you will then stop your sick and silly video games for sure.

  • @particlejunkie obviously. the machine gun would have destroyed her copy of Black Ops along with her arm and the vomit would mess up the electronic equipment. oh and in case you cant tell, yes I am mocking you.

  • @particlejunkie It's a good song, I enjoy listening to it while playing a computer game...And you come in and Buzz Killington all over it. I'm here for the music, Not for your comments. ^^

  • @MistyLMR - I was there, You weren't. That stuff you are doing is bullshit

    Grow up punk

  • @MistyLMR get over it fortunate son. LOL

  • @MistyLMR by the way if you did come here to just listen to the song, would of been easier if you were not reading the comments. :P

  • I know this was for the war and i give thanks to all soldiers and future soldiers but the battlefield 3 series picks some Kick ASs music

  • I am and always listen to this song when I play Battlefield 3 on my Playstation.. Epic gaming music. Future marine, SEMPER FI!

  • @gotsda A force of under 1000 can atleast severely harm a larger force. On Total War, I do it ALL THE TIME! Think of the Battle of Thermopolae (Didn't spell that right :/), think of the French at Dunkirk, the Israelites. Stop being foolishly anti-American when they are not fooling their own people. They are currently one of the top 3 most powerful countries in the world. Why would the Americans, believers in Justice and Freedom, "conjure" as you say it, a leader that slaughers thousands? Think.

  • I just like this song...

  • guys, soldiers don't create the wars. Politicians create the wars. It's a war between politicians of different countries but unfortunately, the soldiers have to do the work and lose their lives. They only participate in the war because they love their country.

  • @kss914 Its about time theres is someone who actually uses the head on their shoulders. thanks for relizing that because we have Idiots thinking that it was obama that killed osama... no it was our military that fought and died for 10 wasted years to catch a sad old man

  • @ultigamer124 To catch a sad man who was the head of a phantom organisation that was conjured by your government so you had another national enemy to fight.

Think about it, first the British, Then the Spanish, The Kaiser, Hitler, Communism... now AlQuaeda.

You think communism was really a threat? course not.

the US government isnt to be trusted.

  • @gotsda and why should I trust you?

  • @turtlemikey4 What reason have a got to mislead you? I might be wrong, but that would mean that you actually believe your freedom is at risk because Al Quaeda, which as a group of only around 1000 is a fucking ridiculous idea.

  • @gotsda Trying to give this a thumbs up, but google is probably censoring any potential freedom thoughts?

  • @gotsda No government should be trusted, Hell the American constitution says we should question it. If you can point out the government that tells the truth 100% of the time and all their intentions are morally correct, well i dont know what ill do. lol. anyway Hitler wasnt a saint, but we didnt join the war to be the hero either, there were alot of supplies and recources out of war. And Communism vs Democracy, both can lead to self destruction. My conclusion, dont belive everything the gov says

  • @kss914 If noone joined the Army the Gov't wouldnt be able to fight wars.

  • this is the best song of any genaration 4 any genaration for when my grandparents were fightin in the war to me listin 2 the song and thinkin bout the war it is still the best 4 both times

  • Unless you grew up during those times I don't think you get it. We were being drafted and had no choice unless you wanted to run to Canada or something. While people like Bush were getting exemptions for college or getting a cush job in the guard all because of their families influence and money. A lot of wasted lives and this country still has learned a damn thing... Well at least they got rid of the draft....:oP

  • @kmburton We didn't get rid of the draft. If the need comes up we will need to recruit every able body.

  • @kmburton well thank you for your service sir. I'm 18 so I was born a whole generation after, but I really appreciate everything you and all others have done.

  • well 3 ppl suck! no taste in music what o ever. -shakes headin disapointment-

  • FIGHT FOR THE CONSTITUTION ; NOT THE CORPORATE FASCIST GREED OIL MONGERS. TROOPS COME HOME WE NEED YOU HELP ! WE LOVE YOU !

  • I'd give an arm to go back in time and see CCR live. Maybe an arm and a leg.

  • Fogerty was drafted to Vietnam..this song was written on the day he was discharged. Fogerty was pissed off because unlike the privileged who get a Senator to commute there draft status he had to serve. My dad was drafted and served in Vietnam as well. These people did not CHOOSE to be soldiers, they had it FORCED upon them. That is NOT right. And that gentlemen is what this song is really about. Thank you!!

  • @jasonheires the song is also about how the sons of the members of congress did not get drafted. he says, he is not a fortunate son, because he was not born from a family high up there.

  • @jasonheires Hell, I'm just in the mood to listen to this. Great timing.

  • @jasonheires Wasn't he the son of a Senator though?

  • man they killed ma leiutenant dan

  • i remember this song in 1969 when i joined the u.s. army. shipped to laos first day. god it sucked but this song didnt.

  • @CoolBahamaLlama Me too and can't wait to join!!

  • @KillingJokes97 -do you get what this song's actually about? It isn't pro-war/pro-draft/pro-military at all..

  • @pineappleupside I never said it was,the song is about certain people not having to join because of who they knew or who they were.

  • Am I the only future Soldier here.Thumbs up if your a Soldier or future soldier.OoRah

  • @KillingJokes97 It's actually HooRah ... just sayin there is an H - :P

  • @TropnevadNitsuj Really it's H.U.A (Hoo-ah)an analogy which stands for Heard Understood Acknowledged so really were both wrong hahaha.

  • @KillingJokes97 Ha lol ... well that figures huh?

  • @TropnevadNitsuj Hahaha Ikr

  • @KillingJokes97 U.S. Marine Scout Sniper Sgt. Sleppy 3rd Battalion at your service.

  • @jts199 Thank you for serving our great nation

  • @KillingJokes97 dont thank me i thank you for standing up for us. we watch our best friends die by our side and people hate on us

  • @jts199 Sir I feel it's my job to appreciate the brave men and women of our fine military.Like I said I wish to be Marine one day and would want the same respect.Might I ask what years you served Sgt.

  • @KillingJokes97 I've been serving for 6 years now im 24 years old. and i know you'll get the same respect.

  • @jts199 Well thanks for your service you guys deserve this respect

  • @KillingJokes97 HOOAH!

  • @KillingJokes97 im a future Marine. oorah.

  • @flameballification OohRah.How old are you(Assuming you don't care to tell)

  • @KillingJokes97 I was in the Marines and fought in both Desert storm & Operation Iraqi freedom.Didn't regret one single bit of it I'd do it 30 times if I could. You stick to it and it'll be the best choice you ever make. And I even missed the birth of my first Daughter but I must say it was worth it.The look on those peoples face when they seen our humvee's rolling up was just priceless they offered money and everything.Just be safe.

  • @Gmoney4296 OohRah.Your the only person that really supports my decision.Thanks.

  • @KillingJokes97 i lived the military life. its a big decision. good luck to you man, but i personally hate what the military has become. for the past 50 years, we went into totally bullshit wars, such as vietnam, for being an illegal war :P.

  • @19patdab94 Well I understand but we kinda had fingers pointed at us in that war cause we looked like dicks if we went and like dicks if we watched as a country goes into civil war.As for the illegal wars "All is fair in love and war."

  • @KillingJokes97 you don't look like a dick for watching a country go into civil war. That's their business, mind your own. America isn't perfect look inwards before you look outwards

  • @KillingJokes97 You say its all fair in love and war, until the japanese attack you at pearl harbour.

  • @KillingJokes97 Hell yeah. See you out there!

  • @KillingJokes97 I swore in to the Army in December, I go to basic training in May 29th, Hooah!

  • @KillingJokes97 It's funny how you are posting a comment like this on a song that is completely against war, and for peace! And yes, you get to be a soldier and go and kill innocent civilians in, yet another, oil war. "Hoorah" for you buddy

  • @petarius1994 Yeah it's sooooo hilarious!!!No it's not funny. Not all soldiers are absolutely for the war.

  • @KillingJokes97 You want more for yourself kid, I feel sorry for most soldiers in Vietnam they didn't have a choice.

The only war I'd want to fight in is one to protect my freedom, you really think thats what Iraq, Afghanistan or Vietnam is about? I hope you aren't that silly.

Instead of using guns and wasting lives, why dont you go and help someone? Be a doctor a nurse, hell even a fucking volunteer in Africa or somthing, because any of that would be more beneficial than being a grunt.

  • pinas

  • GOD DAMN IT IT AIN'T HIM! HOW MANY TIME DOES HE HAVE TO SAY THAT! some people don't know that it wasn't him.

  • Haha, thankyou all for your amazingly complex and maybe not to far from the truth conspiracy stories. You have officially kept me entertained.

  • This is an awesome song, and a statement about how regular, working class folks end up fighting and dying in wars intended to advance the imperialist agenda of the government. I feel bad for those who died, mostly because their deaths accomplished nothing, and most of them were there against their will.

  • i thought this song was protesting the american government and the actions of the military? he says " some folks are born and made to wave the flag" then he says" it aint me i aint no senators son"

  • @tyrellasaurusrex this main isnt unpatriotic, he was just sharing his thoughts (mostly confusion) in the song that alot of soldiers shared, they are told they are patriots fighting the good fight, albeit following sometimes cruel orders fighting an odd enemy and losing much of themselves in a wierd corner of the world, only to come home to people who hate them.

this song is about the regular joe's confusion about the whole fiasco.

  • where is drugs

  • 3 people like men

  • this is the real original american music RED WHITE AND BLUE

  • Not to bring a gamer conversation into here, but when I play the Vietnam DLC for BF:BC2 I enjoy playing this song on the radio as I rush over a hill with my m16! This is one of my fav Vietnam war songs.

  • 3 people are vietnamese and hate american music

  • @DanFProductions -why would they hate it? This song is against the draft.. It's not like yay Vietnam war by any means-haha.. So your comment is a bit far off.

  • It aint me...

  • if all else fails..... call in an airstrike

  • Woods yah look like hammered shit!

  • @andyevs10191 gtfo my song

  • @bannanahammer1 ccr's song...fuckin idiotttt

  • @andyevs10191 music is everybody's only record companies thinks it's the band's

  • @bannanahammer1 not at all

  • @andyevs10191 wow, quoting a game on this song is fucking gay. learn some respect

  • @legendofj1 It doesn't matter if they are wrong or right, people who use the phrase "so gay" are asshole idiots.

  • 战争就意味着死亡。更意味着战士要付出生命的代价。,人民需要和平,人民是世界和平重要的力量!

War means death. But also means that soldiers have to pay with their lives. The people need peace, the people important force for world peace!

I visit the websites and post comments with the assistance of machine translation. Thanks my friends for their understanding, support and help."

  • @yumenyukuaile man w/o war means no peace .i mean if there was a way to always have peace w/o war i support it but therewill always be some new regeme that will want to beat up a littler country with a big ally so there will always be war. but inthe meantime support the troops dead or alive and their famils

  • me too

  • i call this the vietnam song

  • @mrfridaynight330 same here

  • @JeffreyDarnoldTV it seems that you cantgo anywhere related to vietnam with out hearing this

  • Dude, you can't play a single game about 'Nam without hearing this song. Ex: Call of Duty: Black Ops, Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam.

  • fuck yeah dawg!!! fuck those 3 ppl

  • i dont know what all your comments have to say but im just here for the music

  • The slideshow kinda failed,

  • Bri4den, this entire SONG is a political statement... 80s music had meaning, instead of "Oh I did this girl, then smoked some drugs"

  • @Madwizard93 but what bri4den is saying this isnt the place for political "debates" or stuff life that. this is to enjoy the music, not try to one up everybody in a different political party

  • future marine

  • HAPPY INDEPENCE DAY =]

  • Gulf of ton-kin was an inside job proven fact with release of McCarthy LBJ tapes

  • Very poignant anti-war song. Remembering the time when this was written and popular, in the midst of the Vietnam War, it truely captured the anger felt by many draftees.

This song, together with Eve of Destruction, is among the best Anti-war songs of the sixties.

  • If you haven't joined the US Military yet, you should have

  • 3 dislikes, really?

  • Forrest Gump brought me here and thank God he did.

  • @InsertGun My dad brought me here, Vietnam vet

  • @IzItDJ im a socialist, and i love this song. im also anti war. im also anti soviet union. im also american. so suck me.

  • vietnam era music = the best

  • @YourMomsBananaa 60's has like the best music really

  • the ghost inside version is better :P

  • BFBC2 Vietnam

    M10 nightmare right here.

  • La canción es lo contrario a este video.

  • RIP P. Withers Khe Sanh 1968.

  • S>T>F>U>

  • Amen to that.....

I am not neither of those, but an American, who signed up to fight a war/battle/conflict, take your pick.

Wish me luck, pray for those over there and to those who came back alive....

  • This song reflects the way we felt in the 60's: that our government was corrupt, our Government officials thought they were above the law and abused their power to enter our brave hero troops into wars that were not warranted - in this case - Vietnam. The men who fought in Vietnam were heroes.

The government is still as corrupt today...

  • god bless america and save us from the dirty twisted mother fuckers we have for politics, rip everybody who ever served ur country, its bullshit ppl blacken the soldiers name who stand up and fight for their country. go us marines

  • i'm right behind you my sister.....

  • @keishiegurl thank you for standing up for us.

  • @keishiegurl Gee, if the soldiers are fighting under the orders of "the dirty, twisted mother fuckers we have for politics", it does not seem like they would be fighting for a cause that was good, does it? This has nothing to do with the soldiers themselves, of course. Soldiers just follow orders from superiors. The motivations of the leaders do not make any difference. Soldiers apply force and fight. That is their job. But if you see American leadership as so corrupt, why glorify the soldiers?

  • last year i commented on this vid and got called crazy ! the Ton kin incident was declassified as a sonar anomaly but it was just as good an excuse as any, I also said 911 was an inside job as well , now 1 year later all i have to say is how about them swine flu jabs ? Crazy? I guess if i survive the new viral pneumonic plague You will call me crazy then too. Have a look for yourself its tearing up the Ukraine now. brought to you by the WHO. and for you idiots im not talking about the rock band.

  • like your work

  • Hey, does anyone know if the song was talking about Bush Jr.? I was told that he was the Senators son that Credence was talking about in the song. Anyone know?
