'Imran b. Husain reported that a person who had no other property emancipated six slaves of his at the time of his death. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) called for them and divided them into three sections, cast lots amongst them, and set two free and kept four in slavery; and he (the Holy Prophet) spoke severely of him.
Book 15, number 4112
Sahih Muslim
Muhammad forces people to remain in slavery even though they were freed by their "master". Explain how this is moral??
It is moral because these people were murderers and unlike the command given by the Bible the murderer was given a chance to repent and not killed. Slavery was a purification for these people they were not innocent like the millions of innocent Africans killed during the Anglo-Christian slave trade.
Please provide the references that show these people were murderers. I am not saying you are being dishonest, I want to see for myself. I would also say that slavery is an odd form of "purification". It provides economic benifit for the slave owner, this sounds like an attempt to justify an evil act. Are you telling me Muslims never took innocents as slaves? If you are claiming that I will say you are dishonest.
I am sick of seeing Muslims acting as if Islam is the anti-slavery religion. As if Islam had nothing to do with Slavery taking hold in Africa. It ignores history and is an insult to the millions of Africans who lost their freedom, culture and lives to Muslim slavery. Islam is contradictory on slavery, pure and simple.
You are telling me that the actions of an Aksumite general who died before Islam even came into existence justifies Arab invasion of all of north Africa and the Muslim African slave trade? What odd logic. One can't even use the Muslim excuse that Abraha was attacking Islam. When he invaded Yemen he was retaliating for the attacks against Aksum by a Jewish Himyarite and Christian Arabs.
Dhimmitude is a form of segregation and of Apartheid. You should stop believing your faith is infallible and research the history of Dhimmitude from the side of those under it. I am sure the Islamic side paints a picture of tolerance and generocity, that is to be expected. Unjust actions are rarely admitted to.
@sohei75 SO TRUE! Islam is the shining beacon of slavery. More slavery today than ever before and Islam is the main culprit.
Bottomless evil is what allows muslims to blatantly lie, lie and deny UNDISPUTED FACTS.
Islam says" we began civilization and freed slaves while enlightening minds."
FACTS of history show Islam to the great destroyer of civilization, the largest sex slave culture ever, destroyers of knowledge and steeped in superstition.
The largest sex slave trade in the world today is in Thailand according to the U.N. Thai sex trade consist predominantly between the Thai Buddhist prostitutes and Westerners seeking the company of these male and female prostitutes. I have done three video's on Islam and slavery and I myself am a descendant of slaves who were kidnapped by Euro/Christian slave-masters.
this is not historically accurate. saudi arabia "outlawed" slavery in 1962, yet it is still practiced. there are many phillipino slaves there, and dubai has lower caste indians slave labouers. in sudan the janjaweed enslave black sudanese. google francis bok, and mende nazer who escaped from slavery when trafficked to the UK by a sudanese embassy official in 2001.
Slavery also exist in America it is called human trafficking and involves mostly Hispanics. There are far more Philipino slave laborers in the Philippines than in Arabia. Explain what you mean by lower caste indians, aren't they all equal in India? Google slavery in the Congo to see how the world ignores slavery in a country that is 95% CHRISTIAN. Slavery also exist in Zimbabwe, another Christian country. Slavery is a human problem not a Muslim one.
there are people who take advantage of undocumented immigrants in this country. i saw first hand sweat shops in los angeles in the fashion industry. interestingly enough, these places are run by immigrants themselves. it is mostly hispanics and koreans working in them. india used to have a caste system. although it is changing there are still issues with it.
Their are also many Anglo-Saxon farmers who funnel illegals in from Mexico for cheap labor which usually equates to these illrgals working basically for room and board this also equates to slavery although the majority of American do not deem to tag it as so.
the "coyotes" are the traffickers, and are hispanic. of course there are white farmers that hire illegal aliens for work, and yes there are those that take advantage of them. that is one of the problems with illegal immigration, people are vulnerable and often exploited by a**holes. however, there is a difference btwn a gov sanctioned law supporting slavery and individuals doing this against the laws of the land. it's abhorrent and barbaric either way! it is intolerable!
To a immigrant slaving in a field there is no difference between a gov sanctioned law supporting slavery and individuals doing this against the laws of the land.Sex slavery ooms in the USA just as much or more than any other country.
i absolutely agree with you. to a human being that is enslaved it matters very little. their day to day survival is a personal struggle that neither you nor i could ever truly comprehend. but the state sanctioning of such practices DOES matter significantly. it is about human rights, which is something that every single HUMAN BEING deserves. many come to the US because they have no rights at home. slavery is abhorrent and needs to be stamped out NOW in ALL parts of the world.
You are going out of your way to paint America as some modern day slave state. It's a total load of BS. There are problems here, yes. There are problems everywhere. The laws of the U.S. are clear in regards to sex slavery, farmworker slavery and other forms of human trafficking and forced labor. These things happen in the richest countries because it is all about money. The fact is you are attempting to redirect the horrible history of Muslim slavery by pointing your finger at the West.
people need to come together to help those that are being enslaved around the world. this is 2008 soon to be 2009! this isn't the middle ages! this needs to be stopped NOW.
slavery is a human problem i absolutely agree. however, here in the US, with our culture as it is, there is a misconception that it is some how the fault of european colonialsim. this is a half truth, and it detracts from the fact that slavery is a human problem. i did read about the congo. i did not know that this was going on there as well. i have been aware of sudan. thank you for informing me.
I apologize if I insulted you earlier you seem like a very sincere human being. I do not condone what is going on in the Sudan or the Congo nor do I lay western slavery totally at the feet of Europeans. I was so defensive towards you because many people who come to this video who are not Muslims are mere hate mongers but you do not seem to be one of them.
thank you, and no i did not feel insulted. there is enough hatred in the world as it is. i am sorry that some non muslims are insulting and bigoted. the only solution human trafficking is for decent people to remember that we all share a common humanity. Regardless of race, religion, or nationality, all people should have basic human rights.
