  • I think Mr. Hammons would be quite please with this.

  • Thanks for sharing this wonderful Edn Hammons tune. I am from Northern Greenbrier Country, just south of Pochahontas County where the Hammons family hailed from. You have nailed his style, thanks for keeping it alive.

  • @namtsewhsit

thanks for the very kind words. I just love Edn's style.

  • i love his music!! he he plays sooo awesome!

  • Yes, there's a lot of "alternative" versions of this tune floating around, especially ones that leave out the third slightly altered A part and that completely change the delightfully weird B part. You play it the way Eddens did. Thank you.

  • Love this tune, and love how you play it. Thx for posting.

  • Wonderful!!! Sounds like it ought to.

    Thanks for the joy!!!

Edden Hammons was the uncle of my great-grandfather, Currence Hammonds. I'm only now starting to learn how famous (infamous?) and influential he was.

  • where did you learn this tune?

  • Nice going and glad you have learned from and now become a master at this fiddle style. an inspiration to all of us who continue to learn.
