@darkveroth Agreed, FF13 was beautiful, awesome technically inclined composer, but plastic characters with an awful story killed it. I lost it when they showed lightning's sister talking about her boyfriend. That was just just too much cheese within one game.

hahahaha well to tell you honestly , it is worth it, this game is the only game that has ever made me cry, its such a beautiful game and nobuo uematsu is a musical genuis! and this storyline is so epic...... its almost as good as ff7! (ff7 is a classicle and it has a giant fan group following) but this game is unique in its own ways. sir, i advise you to spend your savings on the xbox 360 just to get this game! its totally worth it! this game kicks halos ass anyday.even though im a fan of halo

Well there is Tales, Blue Dragon, Star Ocean, and future Mistwalker titles.

Just get one. Since you're getting it for (presumably) rpgs, the arcade ($200) is probably more than suitable.

It's one of my favorite consoles, just get one.

Whatever. If you don't like it why did you even have to comment here. True Uematsu's music isn't as good as it 'used' to be imo, but that's just nostalgia and hours of gameplay of Chrono Trigger, FF6, FF4, SoM from my childhood coming into play etc. Personally I think this soundtrack for Lost Odyssey is pretty good.

Not only is the music amazing, but the game is truly the BEST of its KIND! IMO this game takes down Final Fantasy. The story and music are so immersive and the game is so deep. There are parts to this story that I was on the verge of crying. And I don't cry easily! So if you are or have ever been a JRPG fan, get this game for yourself! You won't be sorry!

Well not knocking the FF series, but Sakaguchi/Uematsu parting out and finding Mistwalker is a great move, I think it more of a breath of fresh air for their creative abilities to transcend the Final Fantasy name; figure that they can now build games however, whenever they want, plus the bonus of not having to abide to a set tradition and having to create completely different games everytime, talk about artistic freedom (at last; we first saw that when they first conceived of Chrono Trigger)
