I want to start pen drawing. I would say that right now i'm terrible at drawing, but I love it (: I bought a pad and some artist pen. Any suggestions on specific supplies and or starting tips?

@TheGrapeJuiice Loving it is the best thing! :) just have fun and don't be afraid. If you make a mistake it's not a fail it's just a part of the learning process. Just work out where you went wrong and get it right next time. Paper, pencil and pen is all you need. Part of the fun is trying out different things. There is no right or wrong :) good luck have fun!

thanks! learned some good tips from ya. i never could trees quite right when i drew them. i now think the reason was because i neglected to add the leaves on the other side of the tree. its time to try again!

Thank you for your lesson, Shoo. It's really helpful. I'm a 3D artist who didn't ever draw anything by hand and didn't draw any 2D at all, yet always wanted to try. Hi sozoshu That's great. As a 3D artist, you are basically a sculptor and sculptors have always used drawing to start their ideas. Drawing is the groundwork of pretty much everything. Get yourself a pocket sketchbook and draw in it every day - you'll soon see the effect your ideas and 3D work. Good luck to you - all the best Shoo
