One question for you... being that you are Dominican.. why do so many Dominicans (even some i know) deny African ancestry or being part "black" when theres no denial that many dominicans were brought to the island as slaves? you dnt have to represent the entire country just speak frm yoour own opinion please :)

@chizzyTheBIRD I don't know what the psychological reasons are that some Dominicans deny that part of their culture. I am aware that there was slavery in the country and that many of us are a mixture of Africans, Europeans, and Taino Indians. However, some families can trace their entire family history and it may be that certain families do not have African ancestors, the same can apply to the European and Taino Indian ancestors.
