@two210 what are you talking about you fool?whiskey was first created in.........ireland bushmills is ver 400years old and the monks made it 400 years before that, anything other than the orignal is a copy.that being said it comes down to prefernace irish ones are smoother and aged longer scotch are 2 years aged rather than 3 like irish ones and have an earthy peaty taste,so generally speaking irish one's are higher quality in terms of whiskey, but scotch is also an auired taste.
@two210 if you ask me that was calm,i only called you a fool could have been a lot worse,so calm yourself down and dont get so defensive in the future.
All the beers people are trying to compare to "american beer" are all micro brewed. Idiots trying to compare their artisan beers with our mainstream commercialized beers(which are the best selling beers in their country by the way).
Comparing the small batch high alcohol craft beer from your country to another countries big batch watered down beer, is like an 18 year old bragging he can lift more than a 10 year old.
Try small batch American beer to small batch Euro beers.
American beer. eh? Here's the scoop on beer. If you buy a brand and you don't like it. It's not because of the nation it was brewed in, it's the brewery. I can sympathize with somebody who has been drinking Bud, or Coors or other mass produced brands. They are bad. However, if you are not a tourist, you then have the advantage knowing about the micro breweries in your neck of the woods. They have a variety of types and flavors for a change of pace. Nonetheless, I prefer Stella Artois.
Honestly, if you want to taste the best beers in the world go to Bavaria in south Germany around Oktoberfest time. They produce so many lovely beers; dark weissen beer, normal weissen beer, some lovely pils which have inspired many of the worlds foremost beers and the special beer that's made specifically for the oktoberfest is simply put the most flavoursome beer ive ever tasted. It takes a year to make and its bloodygorgeous.
i agree. american brand name beers usually have nothing on the German or other european brands. some of the micro brands arnt half bad though. this, by the way coming from an American
I like McEwans export but I love Rogue Shakespeare stout and Old Rasputen,Sam Adams Oktober fest,Anchor steam,Abita beer, yuengling black and tan.American bourbon's like pappy Van Wenkle and Bulleit are great whiskey's,I also enjoy Glenfiddich 18 very much as well The singleton 12 and also Glen Livet 12-18.
And what's the difference between blended, single, pure and double malt? and between Bourbon, corn, Canadian and Irish wihiskey? Is whisky DYC any good?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@keckeye1979 Hahahaha...I am American and you are so dead wrong. We do beer better than any other country but I can't agree with whiskey.Bourbon is shit that is meant to be consumed with a mixer while great Scotch and Irish whisky is great to enjoy solo.
@maassenn Granted, I did try some decent Californian microbrew. But the vast majority of American beers DO suck and the few ones that don't aren't that great either. But your're right NOT ALL American beers suck.
@RTWLRz You have no idea what the fuck your talking about! America has absolutely the best beers in the entire world. Almost every type of beer that has ever been done on the face of the earth America has done better. Just because the only American beer that is available to you is Budweiser, which I will agree is in fact the worst beer in the world, dose not mean that every American beer taste like piss.
@Conina5000 Quote: "Almost every type of beer that has ever been done on the face of the earth America has dhas done better. Just because the only American beer that is available to you ..."
That line just shows how stupid and ignorant YOU obviously are. You probably never even left the US in your whole life and don't have a clue about what kind of beers there are in the world. With your limited horizon it's not surprising you (would like to) believe American beer would the best in the world.
@RTWLRz i agree american beers are inferiour to most other ones and i have been in america.budwiser is flavourless compaired to many european and asain brands and coors is canadian(i cant toutch on all the american brands) heiniken is far better stella, cobra, peroni, san miugel, becks, tiger e.t.c are all far supsriour and they are massproduced
@irishboy2k10 Are you referring to American mega-brewers? Then I would agree, but the micro-brewers, on the other hand, produce some of the best beers anywhere. IPA's, stouts, porters, lagers. ultra-hops.
@Conina5000 sometimes I drink Busweiser in Germany...but it´s the original type from the Czech Republic. It´s very good....maybe because it´s NOT something like disgusting flavoured beer from the US.
Test german, dutch, english or irish beer and you will change your resident to Hamburg!
@RTWLRz The popular American adjunct lagers like Budweiser and Coors have given American beer a bad name, but you comment reeks of ignorance and snobbery. Michael Jackson (the world's most respected beer journalist) once commented that America is probably the best country for beer. I myself prefer Belgium, but your baseless accusation is total nonsense.
@ThatMetalGamerGuy Uh, your best selling beers are Vic Bitters, Carlton Draught and XXX gold, which have 4.6%alc 4.6%alc and 3.6%alc. Our best selling(Budweiser Miller and Coors) standard versions have 5% and their light versions 4-5%
You must be a kid who is just running his mouth trying to argue. Cuz even an adult would know what is considered strong and weak, even if they didnt drink.
@lqprimetime is ireland 5% is standerd usualy cant get any weaker than that but ive seen bavaria 8.9 on draught here and thats 7% and ive seen blue bull in belgium and thats 10% all on draught.oh by the way coors is canadian.
@RTWLRz all beers are good and budweiser just happens to be my favorite beer, i have no fucking clue how u got that many fucking idiots that gave u a thumbs up, UR ALL SHEEEEEP
A great bourbon can be just as satisfying as a good single malt. There are some fantastic bourbons which outdrink many of the popular single malts. I'll take a Booker's eight year bourbon over a Glenfiddich 12 any day. In addition to a good scotch or bourbon, I also really enjoy a good rye whiskey (incidentally, Sazerac 18yr rye was named whisky of the year in this year's whisky bible.)
Also, I personally thing Belgium does beer better than any country.
I quit watching Expert Village videos due to the fucking nigger music commercials they have at the beginnings. Especially since they are showing good Scottish/Irish whisky videos.
Not only the title is wrong. He says: 'You see in all the whiskies that we have here at the Caladonia (or whatever the name was) that the word scotch whisky will always appear.'
I find that weird, because I saw Jameson and Tullamore Dew. Those are both Irish Whiskeys; LOL!
No, he's not saying all the whiskies are Scotch, he's saying every Scotch Whiskey is labeled clearly as "Scotch" whiskey and not "Scottish" or "Scots" Whiskey, but Scotch. You have to listen to what he says in context, because it's not scripted.
How are you fucking people that stupid??! He didn't say every bottle behind him was scotch whisky!! I watched this a few times before reading the comments and can't fathom how someone could be that dumb to think that. That thought wouldn't even occur to me. The misspelling of "whisky" in the title I can agree with but I think they did that so it would be easier to find in a search. I hope your fat bald cunt mother gets hit by a car
Actually, not only Scotch whisky is spelled without an "e". Japanese whisky is also spelled without an "e".
On another interesting note, Scotch may only be called Scotch when it's been produced in Scotland, is at least 3 years old, and has an ABV of no less than 40%. The term Single Malt has now been standardized, but with older bottlings you can still find it on blends as well.
Also the Canadian whisky is spelled without an "e". Actually, all the whisky apart from the ones that come from Ireland and USA are spelled without an "e" ;)
