Anne Rice, I love you! <3 You are the author that blew to pieces the towering Dam that circled the inner most depths of my mind. Because of you, Anne Rice, I have found the sea of potential that had lain dormant within me. Because of you, Anne Rice, I have discovered the love of writing. If I ever become a published author, it will be because of your literary influence! Bless You, Anne Rice; may you live for a great many more years, continuing to encourage the bloom of other potential novelists.
For some reason her behavior doesn't seem to match her fiction. It's far more intellectual above emotional than I'd have expected. Highly analytical...which is why I probably have to read the body again, from a different angle.
Anne, thank you so much for this video. I think that your sharing can inspire other people who write whether they are writing for publication or not. It would be amazing if you gave courses on writing on line or in a university setting.
You look well and beautiful and I hope you have many days where you feel both.
When I write, I create the story as I go. I am excited to write because I find myself not knowing what is going to happen but my brain sees it seconds after and i just write. I see everything visually in my head and write the story as I type. Its fun because it's like watching a movie for me. I love your ideas Anne. I respond to Plot as well. Characters are wonderful but without Plot it loses something special. The backbone of the story.
It's absolutely apparent that she loves intricate plots, but at the same time does not refrain from that overwhelming atmosphere as she progresses through it. There is no strict, 'forced' emphasis on plot. :) It's also a fascinating method that was interesting to hear about!
@redindygo I know huh? What the world of technology does. How it brings us closer to those we admire and can hear from them. I never thought in my younger years growing up that i would ever get to see something like this. It is so wonderful of Anne to pass on her wisdom to others and share her knowledge to help writers know what makes a great writer. I wish she was my mom. She kinda was. Thank you Anne for sharing all of this with us.

her erotica is EPIC. It's good to respond to plot. But sometimes there's also genius in PWP. (For those unsure... Plot, what Plot?)
