Fractional-reserve banking was around for centuries before the Fed and had already dominated American banking before the Fed was created. That question was bullshit. It's great that the U.S. got an "ROI" from the Wall Street bailout, but that wasn't the point of the bailout! They point was for banks to start lending to homeowners, home-buyers and small businesses again and they would begin to hire again. Instead, they handed out bonuses to their already over-compensated executives and continues the same reckless practices (derivatives trading, faulty mortgage loans, etc) that got us into recession/unemployment in the first place.

She knows her stuff about econmics, and as an investigative journalist she asked all the right questions to get to the bottom of the story. Which is why the are there.
