  • Does anyone know where can I find the backing track?

  • My dad can play one and he taught me! =DDDDDD I am so envious of her~

  • @chaleoh Many many Chinese now about this flute. There are many streetsellers who sell them in places far away from Xishuanbanna and you can always buy them in regular music stores. Have seen it with my own eyes and I got one myself.

By the way, music crosses boundaries and let everyone enjoy it, regardless of nationality.

  • I was thinking that traditional music instruments have a preminently 'mellow' voice...

It says alot about the lyrical/melancholic soul of their culture

When I listen to your music here, I miss my cousin Joe Bee Xiong of Eau Claire a lots. My tears came down into my eyes and I still remember he played this song to me once at his house when I visited him. April of 2007 he has passed away while visiting Laos with his family. Thanks the person who put in here so I can listen to it again. Kevin

  • That's sad to hear/read. And I'm glad that you enjoyed the clip. If you want the song so that you can listen to it without logging onto youtube feel free to send me a message with your e-mail and I'll send it to you.

  • es.. it's Gao Nou our MISS HMONG MINNESOTA..

  • well she is MISS HMONG AMERICAN. i heard that she couldn't make it to metrodome for the next crowning of Miss Hmong American so she had to give up her crown to the next runner up who was Angel Xiong.

  • I think I'm in love with Gao Nou. lol! Didn't know she was Miss Hmong Minnesota.

  • she was the Miss Hmong Minnesota but i guess that she couldn't make it to crown the new winner.. i'm not sure that she have to give up her crown, or maybe Angel was just doing it on her behalf.

  • Actually she was crowned Miss Hmong American and yeah she couldn't make it to the Metrodome New Year so the comittee had to pass the crown to 1rst runner up.

  • Looks like her, but I'm not sure. But you're the second or third person to say it was her, so it is probably her.

  • Is she a Hmong-Chinese living in America? Or did she just come to the US solely for the pageant? If the latter is the case then she should not have won because like the title says Miss Hmong-American, which she is not.

  • Ha ha your right. She only came for the pageant. However she may have a scholarship to come study here in the US now.
