Still my one of my favorite progressive bands. For some reason I hadn't heard this song or full version, It is amazing. Such unrecognized talent it's a shame. If they could gain fame and fortune, and retain their quality, that would be great. that hit at 20:20 had me thinking, this is the inspiration future generations need, and also my generation of people entering the "real world".
My favorite song on my favorite album of 2011. Not only because it invokes emotions that otherwise remain dormant, but also because it went completely under the radar and gave me so much hope for the future of the prog rock/metal scene.
I guess the 15:20-17;00 part is meant to evoke a period of /steak of near insanity, the way it builds up.
Damn these boys are good ...but based on this song at least I might not be getting their 2nd album, seems they've gone over to the metal side of prog-metal a bit too much for my tastes. --But good 'singin and playin', on doubt. :)
@Shovelheaded666 Nothing is wrong with Dream Theater. I think he's just saying that DT kinda lost it's ''epicness'' over the years. As a DT fan, I'll have to be honest, their music in the old days were much and much better. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love DT to death and I always will.
@Jorritijzerlo Hmmm I guess that makes sense. I personally could never get into their newest album except for maybe like one or two songs. Other than that, DT is still a good band nonetheless.
I agree, but Octavarium in my opinion is 100X better than anything this band has produced. Let not people get angry over this comment. I just really, really love Ocatavarium.
Talking about best prog of 2011 ? DISPERSE band is nr1. with their Journey through the Hidden Gardens seriously.

A bit of Dream Theater (when they didn't totally suck beyond redemption) and Frost*, some nice emotional melodic hooks.
