  • I love this sketch, laughed my ass off when I saw it the first time

  • Hang on they all jumped out! Wonder what they are hanging on to?

  • They should have finished with 'I spy with my little eye something beginning with P'! :)

  • "you know I wouldn't be surprised if there was some trouble about this" hahahah so blasé

  • Can anybody lipread what he's saying in the censored joke?

  • How come you only note this as John Cleese's sketch, even though it was done with Graham chapman and Michael Palin too?

  • @CRGP100 It's not from Monty Python, it's from How to Irritate People (1968), a show "presented" by John Cleese, but written and performed with quite a few others, some of them future Pythons. I guess he didn't feel like individually crediting them, especially in the title.

  • The joke that was done at the start was taken from benny hill. both are great comedians though.

  • WHICH YOU SHALL SIT ON!

  • 109 people jumped out of a plane because the wings werent on fire

  • Graham's face! XD

  • 109 people were irritated that he didn't finish the blonde story

  • my guts hurt from laughing.

  • What's your vector Victor?

  • Can you imagine an all star sketch show with the Pythons, Atkinson, French & Saunders and Hugh Laurie?

  • 108 people were on this plane

  • Fab & stunnin !

  • Michael's laugh at the end is adorable!! XD

  • Cleese's stuff is teh best. i luv him so much. fyi for other Cleese lovers out there, i found some stuff with him over on snapsnap that you should check out.

  • Brilliant.....I know this is hard to believe but I've never seen any Monty Python skits or movies......I can't wait to watch everything now....hilarious!!!!

  • @journey2xl well you are up for a lot of fun...

  • 107 People Must Be Irritated.

  • @BobbyR454 No 109 people are going to get us in some trouble about this.

  • (letter from college)

    Dear Mom and Dad,

There is absolutely no cause for alarm.

  • what did he said at the end?

  • @genista01 "You know, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't some trouble about this."

  • My family took a flight once and I was very very young, only about 2 years old, so I don't remember this. But all of a sudden without warning the plane drops FAST, and everyone starts screaming and yelling and the pilot evens the plane out comes on the speaker and says "Sorry about that fancy bit of flying folks" Reminds me of this sketch. I think he might have been over restricted airspace or something but still......

  • Cleese's programme?

  • @Hister333 Yes, although it has many actors from Monty Python, it aired on television one year before the group ever came to be. Proof? This is from 1968, Flying Circus didn't air until 1969.

  • 108 people, were in that airplane

  • would of preferred if at the end it went to a shot of the cabin but still funny

  • @Collin6981 awful idea

  • This is my FAVORITE sketch. How can people say this is the worst?!

  • "There is absolutely no reason to panic."

You know that the minute someone says that, people are going to panic. XD

  • 108 people dont know comedy

  • Awesome like always, hahahahaah :D

  • 108 people need to return to their seats IMMEDIATELY!!

  • Wow, he just doesn't look the same without his mustache! :)

  • @ernniie yeah, almost hairlip-ish...:o

  • Worried walk ftw

  • iiii LIKE it! :)

  • Wow, John Cleese doesn't even blink with his eyes for 17 seconds! (0:00 - 0:17) :-)

  • @MsAnzilly What did he blink with ??

  • Comment removed

  • this is nearnly as funny as 9-11

  • @daveygravey123456 Too far.. not as funny

  • 106 people unfastened their seatbelts

  • Haha perfect!

  • they are hot and funny

  • One of the best!

  • 106 people went to the bathroom

  • Sorry, What's an Airplane please? ;P

  • Sorry, What's an Airplane please? ;P

  • john cleese was really handsome back then :)

  • @HerNameIsLinnea Indeed they all were.

  • --- Terri and Brian --- the couple who sat next to me on the plane - LOL - hope you enjoyed this ! Feel free to stop by my youtube page and say hello

  • this is fuckin awesome.

  • I should have suspected something like this. The moment I lock the door behind me in an airplane bathroom, the "return to your seat" announcement comes on. Methinks this video is a required part of the coursework for pilots.

  • Gobbledydoo?

  • @Hastarl "Gobbledygook" - convoluted or nonsensical speech.

  • "I'll do the worried walkdown now" hahahaha

  • please remove the luggage from the racks above your heads and place it on the other side of the aircraft.

................except the hand luggage.................................................which you should sit on.

monty python are the funniest comedians ever and sketches like the dirty fork, the flying sheep in french and this one will make you laugh no matter how many times you watch them

  • its funny how when people reply to other's comments the original comment is nowhere to be found so you have to search endlessly for it but never find it and you realize..... why the hell did i even care so much to look for this???... *facepalm*

  • haha

  • I FART IN YOUR GENERAL DIRECTION!

  • a few days ago I took a train, and on a certain moment sounded from the speakers:

'the wings are NOT on fire'

    all passangers were like O.o

  • The wings are not on fire!

  • Hahaha!! Now that's a comedic gem, that line at the end

  • dont you hate when your keyboard breaks and

well screw you I'll just go buy a touch screen

  • hilarious sketch! thanks for uploading this...

  • Monty Python's Flying Circus was, by the team's own admission, a few comedic gems amid hours of total crap. This was not one of the gems.

  • @MrGutley I don't know how to understand this. "The whole show is utter lame except few sketches." or "The show has plenty of sketches at this level, and some are even more brilliant."?

  • @Fortevn You're a Newfag, I see.

  • Guess who's getting fired. lolol

  • Great sketch. I really wish that some pilots could actually do this.

  • Welcome to Tiger Airways.....;)

  • LMAO! Graham Chapman spit a huge spitwad at 3:17!!! OMG! I just died...

  • @DINOLOVER6717 oh, my..I didn't need to know that :-j

  • @petravanessa Lol sorry...I couldn't help pointing it out :)

  • "the scramsons are now ready to flange" sounds really wrong

    or is it just me?

  • My personal favorite.

    Go John Cleese!

  • 3:16 the pilot spitting haha

  • Heh, Graham Chapman spits at 3:16.

  • I love how Graham Chapman says "The scramsons above your head are now ready to flange". lol

  • DO NOT UNFASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS XD!

  • This was so funny. I would be the kind of person to believe them and start to panic on the plane.

  • Good grief, this is so like something my roommate and I would pull... :P

  • @CecilySebastian

Well aren't you two just such an awesome hilarious fun pair, I wish I could be a part of it somehow.

  • damn.. i need subtitles..

  • 102 people jumped out.

  • 102 people unfastened their seatbelts

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha! is an under"statement"

  • Comment removed

  • Best flight ever :D

  • haha, he says 'how irritating mechanical failures ar...' and my video stops to buffer.

  • @SLASHdaROCKER the video doesn't even mention mechanical failures.

  • OH TWEEDLES! GET OUT FROM THE COCKPIT! <3

  • TWEEDLES!! I don't care if i'll have a heart attack, I want them to fly my plane!!!

  • @henanimejade imagine that, having michael palin walkin around, doing the "worried walk" :-j

  • omg, cp, can you please somehow include this in some chapter? or someone write a seperate fanfiction please!

  • ahaa tweedles :)

  • DO NOT PANIC!!!!! O_O

  • what was the last sentence he said i cant hear it

  • @STBXMediaX Here's the punch line :) :"You know I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't some trouble about this"

  • @Monaketje nice one :)

  • @STBXMediaX They said that they wouldn't be suprised if there was some trouble about the plane or something like that.

  • 101 people jumped out

  • @frankydman haha

  • Well these guys are going to be very bored now... IN PRISON!!!!!

  • John Cleese, the greatest british actor of all time!

  • 101 people play voilins

  • Comment removed

  • 3:17

the guy in the front spits :D

  • Seeing him in May at The Lowry, I can't wait :3

  • Holy crap, i didn't realize I was going to step into something this funny. This clip reminds me of the Far Side cartoon where the pilot freaks out thinking the low fuel light came on when it was actually the light for the intercom.

  • @kasteman1 And your comment reminds me of a Far Side where the pilot and the co-pilot create fake turbulence by bouncing in their seats.

  • Comment removed

  • 0:13 who here can read lips?

  • I love how he looked out of the window and his laughter died out

  • The wings are not on fire.

I bet every passenger looked out of the window.

  • So out of curiosity... at the end Cleese says "I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't some trouble about this." After removing the double negative it becomes "I would be surprised if there was some trouble about this." Is he expecting some trouble once he gets back or no?

  • @VladimirTulushev He is. colloquialism rather than correct syntax.

  • @ukanian Ah I see. Had to look up colloquialism but that clears it up. Thanks.

  • the guy at the start reminds me of buzz killington

  • Whatever you do dont fly with gag airlines

  • i would love to be 1 of those people who make really really really funny skits cause u could just laugh ur head off and not have to re-take it!

    fun fun fun

    hahaha LOVE IT!

  • john cleese is my favorite monty python person

  • Is the co-pilot "Brian"??

  • @aaronman6188 Yes. He's also King Arthur in Holy Grail. Graham Chapman is his real name.

  • ...well I didn't know that he played the violin.

  • "The Wings are NOT on Fire!" XD my favorite part!

  • Bioshock in a nutshell.

  • 99 people jumped off the plane

  • American here....what show is this from?

  • @ritwingr Its monty python, they have 4 movies and lots of sketches. the films are life of brian, the holy grail, meaning of life and and now for somthing completly different.

  • @ritwingr Oh, thanks. I know the movies and of course Monty Python. I didn't think it was Python because first, I never saw it before, and second the production didn't seem Pythonesque. Seemed better produced than what I remember from Python and much more of a sort of traditional variety show sketch - though much funnier of course.

Also, for some reason the guys looked older than I remember them looking in Python.

    Oh well...thanks for the info.

  • @ritwingr It's not in fact Monty Python, it just has a lot of the same actors.

  • @whotookaegir It's monty pythons flying circus isn't it? The clue is in the name.

  • @CTMonk It's "How to Irritate People"

  • @ritwingr

The programme is named How to irritate people

  • John Cleese is the inventor of trolling.

  • Cleese and Palin are the best!

  • I saw him in Oslo a few months ago, his divorce and health hasn't left him in much of a condition left to live :(

  • 99 people jumped out after being irritated by the pilots.

  • 2:45...

  • Comment removed

  • oops...

  • could someone please tell me what it is that John Cleese says at the very end? thank you.

  • @hrtuvchrome he says

"You know, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't some trouble about this."

  • The Ancient Art of Trolling.

  • @winkskiller Not that ancient...

  • 97 people jumped off the plane

  • 97 ppl missed the like button laughing

  • What is he saying the first time he speaks to the people in the plane? "There is absolutely no cause for laugh(?)"

  • @NeRaCrow

there is absolutley no cause for alarm

  • @CallOfDuty5Zombies1 thank you :)

  • @NeRaCrow He said "Here speaks your captain, there's absolutely no cause for alarm"

  • LOL x'D

  • 97 people unfastened their safety belts trying to find the emergency sprill. Lol I hate these comments but I had to do it.

  • I can watch this all day.

  • this is absolutely brilliant.
