i wish that was true, not that Daniel Craig who looks like a russian spy, and I dissagree on that BMW stuff... i´m a BMW fan and i know they´re amazing machines but they are not bond cars, the bond car MUST be british, and Clive Owen MUST be the next Bond, the next bond car should be an Aston Martin One 77, a Morgan Aereo 8, some TRV or maybe, my personal favorite, a Lister Storm.

The series includes films titled: Star, Hostage, Ticker, Beat the Devil, Chosen, Ambush, and there's a few others I can't remember. They're all under 10 minutes, but they're all pretty cool. Roger Moore was awesome as Bond and I wasn't thrilled with seeing Connery as Bond..too much Irish in him to play a British spy. Worst actor for Bond was Timothy Dalton in my opinion (the fuck were they thinking?), but they got it right later with Pierce Brosnan, even though he's Irish too, but he has the looks, accent, charm, and sex appeal. Daniel Craig is terrible and I agree that Clive Owen would be the best as the next Bond.

The problem is the Bond/Bourne rivalry and the fact that Clive Owen already played the part of a Bond-Like killer in the first Bourne movie and was killed by Bourne. That's the main reason he could not work as Bond now.
I respect Daniel Craig, but think Clive Owen would have been a more authentic Bond if were not for the prior casting issue in the Bourne franchise.

I was choosing between Clive Owen, Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, or Jason Statham (with hair of course) as Bond. They are all good actors, and have British, or Austrailian heritage (British accent is also the Austrailian accent), and they all have good action movies.
@Solsman09 The British accent is not the same as the Australian accent (British accent is also a bit vague like saying American accent, there are lots of places)
He sorta fits, but not exactly. Clive Owen is sexy, and looks like he's shy around women. Daniel Craig is classy, and looks like he could be a womanizer, just like Bond. I know, interesting combinations.
Craig is a very different Bond, and not everyone is going to like him. I think he's okay, let down a bit by some poor concept and scripting. Maybe the change in direction and taking it all back to the beginning was maybe a bit too much to get done for the production people. But then I never really liked Roger Moore and the cheesy era, nor Oirish Brosnan and his plank acting.

The videos need to be in .wmv or any .MPEG format. I think they work, I just remember QuickTime videos cannot be imported. There should be a sidebar menu that allows video to be imported, if not, go to file and import media items (I have vista, and that's how it's worded, I forget what it says for xp and others). You just go to wherever the video is located on your computer and click it and then import. Then you need to pick imported media where it says transitions or effects. Drag the video...
To the video slot in the timeline and you should be able to work with it. If not, see if you can download movie maker offline somewhere and try it again. If it still doesn't work, the video is probably in the wrong format and you wouldbhave to get abvodeo converter that can convert to wmv or MPEG.
wow ur an amazing film editor because that was fantastic! i feel ur pain when the comp freezes while editing, its a real bother. but in the end it all paid off. i hope u continue with this because it was amazing. great job, really. excellent.

I loved everything for "The Hire" and I have to agree that Clive Owen would be the perfect bond. The people that made the first of the new Pink Panther movies seemed to think so as well since they paid homage to that possibility during the dinner party.

Many comments here. I think your correct about Owen never accepting Bond. Hes not that kind of actor. He and Jude Law care about the roles they play. cuz Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, and The World is not Enough are movies that he drives one. The parking garage chase in TND is one of my favorite car scenes of any movie and TWINE had the Z8 and it started my BMW obsession

I doubt anyone who comments here has ever read one of Fleming's books but if they had they would know the new Bond is far truer to original intention than the faux pas embarrassment of the Brosnan years. That said Bond should not turn into Bourne as the new installment seems so desperate to imitate.
i have alot of them. ive only read a few, but that still doenst change my view on Craig. when i watched all the movies i saw its not about how close bond is to the books, its how each actor portrays Bond, and still does the Bond stuff we all like. I love Connery's Bond. Craig is all the action and toughness that connery is, but without the stuff that makes him bond- hes too cold and careless. which is bond, but not really... if you know what i mean. along with other stuff ive already said.
1. Bond is suave and classy, but if you piss him off he becomes dangerous. Criag never seemed laid back and took in the surroundings like the others, its like hes always looking for someone to beat up next.
2. Some of Bond's best lines come after he just kills someone... like "Shocking...", "I think he got the point" and "He just blew a fuse." Craig just kills the guys and walks away.
3. Bond also always had one-liners through out the movies. My favorite is "Thats a nice little nothing you're almost wearing... I approve!" Of course theres "My name is Bond, James Bond", and "a vodka martini- Shaken... not stirred." Craig didnt have any of the one-liners we all love, and he gets his martinis with lemon peels and gin and all sorts of other stuff that isnt the classic shaken vodka martini.
4. When Criag fighting the bad guys, he is just continually fighting and nothing else. The others act as if the dangerous situations they are in are everyday occourances. What i mean is this, for instance- in Goldeneye when a bullet ricochets past Bond's head, he just ignores it like it was a fly buzzing around him. Or like when Bond is fighting the baddie thru the roof of the Jeep in The Living Daylights, he also starts steering the jeep down the road as he is fighting. you know... Bond stuff
5. and finally- im sorry, but Bond is not Bond without gadgets. I dont care who he kills, what he drives, and what he says, but a Bond without gadgets is an oxymoron. Gadgets get Bond out of those impossible situations and make us want the gadgets too. No gadgets, no fun.
They're trying to make Bond into a humorless, gadgetless, serious, brutal killing instrument... and thats not what i like in James Bond. I like the laid back, witty, gadget concealing, womanizing, on the edge Bond. Craig is over the edge, and left the fun sitting there. There wasnt anywhere in the 2 movies that made me laugh or breathe a sigh of relief- i was waiting for the Bond stuff to happen. if these movies came out sooner, i mighta liked them a little more. to me it wasnt worth the wait.

actually lambo were a tractor maker originally, they only started the cars as enzo ferrari pissed them off once... and then in 80's they built the Lamborghini LM002 as a potential rival for hummer.....
as Brosnan is hanging upsidedown in the bathroom stall in front of the guy reading the paper and taking a shit, he says "Beg your pardon, forgot to knock." and then he slugs the guy in the face. i loved that line. and then later he knocks out Xenia and says sweet dreams. i thot that was appropriately funny.
After killing Xenia Onatopp he mutters "She always liked a good squeeze" recalling that she suffocated people with her legs. And after the train explodes and Natalya and Bond narrowly escape, Natalya says about destroying every vehicle he gets into, and Bond replies that its "standard operating procedure." Craig just doesnt seem to pull off the very few he was given.
I disagree it wasn't Craig's fault it was the writer's. He's clearly proven he can act flamobyent and tough in Casino royale but they just clearly used Craig as a sock puppet to promote their crap-film
I really wanted to like these past 2 movies, but i cant. i dont care whoever's fault it was. i didnt like casino, so i let it be a warm up and hopefully quantum could revive bond, but whatever they did wasnt bond to me.
agreeed that Quantum of Solace is a big let down (I didn't like it not even as an action movie: way over the top with the action and far too difficult to follow plot). but I wouldn't say it was Craig's fault. It was just a very bad script and characterisation. He's an actor, he does what and acts the way the director asks him to. I liked Casino Royale a lot. I found it refreshing.
Anyhow, I think if a new Bond was to be picked, the choice should fall on Clive Owen. I believe he'd do great

just like Casino Royale. It is a cool action movie, but not a James Bond movie.
Why you ask? Heres why: 1. Bond is blonde- ok not that big of a deal, but it makes a difference. 2. No where in the movie that i can remember does he say "My name is Bond, James Bond"... which is a must in a Bond movie. 3. I cannot remember the James Bond Theme playing during any of the action scenes. Without that, its just
4. The gun barrel is at the end of the movie instead of the beginning... WTF is that all about?
5. Craig had no one-liners. There was maybe a chuckle or two, but none that made me think its James Bond.
6. NO GADGETS AGAIN! COME ON! I (and i know im not the only one) watch the movies and cant wait for the gadgets, and like Casino Royale- it let me down with not a single true gadget!
7. the bad guy... i could beat him up. like... come on, really? thats the baddie...
...hes looks like if he runs for 2 minutes he has to whip out an inhaler or else he'll collapse having an asthma attack. he wouldnt know one end of a gun from another. you say gullible is written on the ceiling and he would look. he has no bond bad guy features like a scar on the face, a cat he holds, no sweet henchmen... nothing.
8. 4 letters. FORD. The aston is sweet, and the range rover is cool, but really? the bad guys are in ford edges, and the girl has a KA (i think thats what it was)...
theres a scene where hes driving an old bronco... WHAT?! BOND IN A BRONCO? IS THIS A HOMEMADE VIDEO? OR WERE FUNDS CUT SHORT SUDDENLY AND THEY HAD TO BORROW A CAR FROM SOMEONE? and i think in a quick shot hes driving a focus... come on! the ford placement in this movie is way overdone.
9. The action scenes were milked, as my friend put it. he loses his gun alot and there wasnt really true Bond fighting, theres some, but not enough to make me feel it was bond.
10. You know at the end of all the other Bond movies it says "Bond Will Be Back." well it feels like Bond is still gone and this is just a temporary fill in. Its one of the fill ins that half heartedly acts the part and doesnt care there is (or was) a true fanbase that he is letting down. there wasnt a part in the movie where i felt bond was back.
Sure he kills bad guys with 1 bullet and uses his surroundings to his advantage, but nothing that said "Im James Bond, and theres nothing you can do to stop me." I didnt bite my nails during the movie, i didnt get chills down my back from something that happened, and i didnt walk out wanting to hood jump my car and race down the streets like someone was out to get me. Casino Royale was the same way. It had no effect on me, so i waited to judge Craig as Bond until this movie.
And my opinion- He is not James Bond. James Bond is still away and it looks like hes gonna be gone for a while. I want to like Craig as Bond, but i cant. i gave him 2 chances to impress me and he failed. its not easy to imagine and like him as bond. it was not worth waiting the last half of the movie to go to the bathroom.

For me he's the perfect choice as the next bond, he's got it all the looks, the dark hair, the height and the charisma! I thought he was going to get it before craig did but i'm hoping he's next in line.

I was choosing between Clive Owen, Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, or Jason Statham (with hair of course) as Bond. They are all good actors, and have British, or Austrailian heritage (British accent is also the Austrailian accent), and they all have good action movies.

Clive Owen is an interesting idea for Bond. He's like the most awesome n00b-slaying British actor ever.
Although James Bond is kind of a high-class gentleman.
I tend to see Clive Owen as a gritty kind of rebellious guy.("sin city," and he kind of had a gritty look in "Shoot 'em up").

Craig is a very different Bond, and not everyone is going to like him. I think he's okay, let down a bit by some poor concept and scripting. Maybe the change in direction and taking it all back to the beginning was maybe a bit too much to get done for the production people. But then I never really liked Roger Moore and the cheesy era, nor Oirish Brosnan and his plank acting.

Awesome. I have been doing some vids on moviemaker. But I don't know how to implement moving videos just pictures and words. I am able to place music but not with moving videos. Where do you get the moving vids? Thanks.

The videos need to be in .wmv or any .MPEG format. I think they work, I just remember QuickTime videos cannot be imported. There should be a sidebar menu that allows video to be imported, if not, go to file and import media items (I have vista, and that's how it's worded, I forget what it says for xp and others). You just go to wherever the video is located on your computer and click it and then import. Then you need to pick imported media where it says transitions or effects. Drag the video...

To the video slot in the timeline and you should be able to work with it. If not, see if you can download movie maker offline somewhere and try it again. If it still doesn't work, the video is probably in the wrong format and you wouldbhave to get abvodeo converter that can convert to wmv or MPEG.

wow ur an amazing film editor because that was fantastic! i feel ur pain when the comp freezes while editing, its a real bother. but in the end it all paid off. i hope u continue with this because it was amazing. great job, really. excellent.

I loved everything for "The Hire" and I have to agree that Clive Owen would be the perfect bond. The people that made the first of the new Pink Panther movies seemed to think so as well since they paid homage to that possibility during the dinner party.

Many comments here. I think your correct about Owen never accepting Bond. Hes not that kind of actor. He and Jude Law care about the roles they play. Law likes to play roles that are different & challenging. I feel Owen is the same way. Law would have never accepted Bond either. Craig is so f'n ugly. I enjoyed Brosnan as Bond.

Daniel Craig sucks ass as bond! Who ever heard of a blonde hair Bond who looks like a total plank and cant even drive a manual geared car. They had to convert the DBS in his first film to an automatic just so he could drive it. (Oh yeah that is a real Bond thing to do) What a cocklord! I doubt anyone who comments here has ever read one of Fleming's books but if they had they would know the new Bond is far truer to original intention than the faux pas embarrassment of the Brosnan years. That said Bond should not turn into Bourne as the new installment seems so desperate to imitate.

i have alot of them. ive only read a few, but that still doenst change my view on Craig. when i watched all the movies i saw its not about how close bond is to the books, its how each actor portrays Bond, and still does the Bond stuff we all like. I love Connery's Bond. Craig is all the action and toughness that connery is, but without the stuff that makes him bond- hes too cold and careless. which is bond, but not really... if you know what i mean. along with other stuff ive already said.

ok, here we go.
1. Bond is suave and classy, but if you piss him off he becomes dangerous. Criag never seemed laid back and took in the surroundings like the others, its like hes always looking for someone to beat up next.
2. Some of Bond's best lines come after he just kills someone... like "Shocking...", "I think he got the point" and "He just blew a fuse." Craig just kills the guys and walks away.

3. Bond also always had one-liners through out the movies. My favorite is "Thats a nice little nothing you're almost wearing... I approve!" Of course theres "My name is Bond, James Bond", and "a vodka martini- Shaken... not stirred." Craig didnt have any of the one-liners we all love, and he gets his martinis with lemon peels and gin and all sorts of other stuff that isnt the classic shaken vodka martini.

4. When Criag fighting the bad guys, he is just continually fighting and nothing else. The others act as if the dangerous situations they are in are everyday occourances. What i mean is this, for instance- in Goldeneye when a bullet ricochets past Bond's head, he just ignores it like it was a fly buzzing around him. Or like when Bond is fighting the baddie thru the roof of the Jeep in The Living Daylights, he also starts steering the jeep down the road as he is fighting. you know... Bond stuff

5. and finally- im sorry, but Bond is not Bond without gadgets. I dont care who he kills, what he drives, and what he says, but a Bond without gadgets is an oxymoron. Gadgets get Bond out of those impossible situations and make us want the gadgets too. No gadgets, no fun.

They're trying to make Bond into a humorless, gadgetless, serious, brutal killing instrument... and thats not what i like in James Bond. I like the laid back, witty, gadget concealing, womanizing, on the edge Bond. Craig is over the edge, and left the fun sitting there. There wasnt anywhere in the 2 movies that made me laugh or breathe a sigh of relief- i was waiting for the Bond stuff to happen. if these movies came out sooner, i mighta liked them a little more. to me it wasnt worth the wait.

as Brosnan is hanging upsidedown in the bathroom stall in front of the guy reading the paper and taking a shit, he says "Beg your pardon, forgot to knock." and then he slugs the guy in the face. i loved that line. and then later he knocks out Xenia and says sweet dreams. i thot that was appropriately funny.

After killing Xenia Onatopp he mutters "She always liked a good squeeze" recalling that she suffocated people with her legs. And after the train explodes and Natalya and Bond narrowly escape, Natalya says about destroying every vehicle he gets into, and Bond replies that its "standard operating procedure." Craig just doesnt seem to pull off the very few he was given.

agreeed that Quantum of Solace is a big let down (I didn't like it not even as an action movie: way over the top with the action and far too difficult to follow plot). but I wouldn't say it was Craig's fault. It was just a very bad script and characterisation. He's an actor, he does what and acts the way the director asks him to. I liked Casino Royale a lot. I found it refreshing.
Anyhow, I think if a new Bond was to be picked, the choice should fall on Clive Owen. I believe he'd do great

I just got back from the midnight showing of Quantum of Solace, and it was...
just like Casino Royale. It is a cool action movie, but not a James Bond movie.
Why you ask? Heres why: 1. Bond is blonde- ok not that big of a deal, but it makes a difference. 2. No where in the movie that i can remember does he say "My name is Bond, James Bond"... which is a must in a Bond movie. 3. I cannot remember the James Bond Theme playing during any of the action scenes. Without that, its just

...hes looks like if he runs for 2 minutes he has to whip out an inhaler or else he'll collapse having an asthma attack. he wouldnt know one end of a gun from another. you say gullible is written on the ceiling and he would look. he has no bond bad guy features like a scar on the face, a cat he holds, no sweet henchmen... nothing.

theres a scene where hes driving an old bronco... WHAT?! BOND IN A BRONCO? IS THIS A HOMEMADE VIDEO? OR WERE FUNDS CUT SHORT SUDDENLY AND THEY HAD TO BORROW A CAR FROM SOMEONE? and i think in a quick shot hes driving a focus... come on! the ford placement in this movie is way overdone.
9. The action scenes were milked, as my friend put it. he loses his gun alot and there wasnt really true Bond fighting, theres some, but not enough to make me feel it was bond.

10. You know at the end of all the other Bond movies it says "Bond Will Be Back." well it feels like Bond is still gone and this is just a temporary fill in. Its one of the fill ins that half heartedly acts the part and doesnt care there is (or was) a true fanbase that he is letting down. there wasnt a part in the movie where i felt bond was back.

Sure he kills bad guys with 1 bullet and uses his surroundings to his advantage, but nothing that said "Im James Bond, and theres nothing you can do to stop me." I didnt bite my nails during the movie, i didnt get chills down my back from something that happened, and i didnt walk out wanting to hood jump my car and race down the streets like someone was out to get me. Casino Royale was the same way. It had no effect on me, so i waited to judge Craig as Bond until this movie.

I want to like Craig as Bond, but i cant. i gave him 2 chances to impress me and he failed. its not easy to imagine and like him as bond. it was not worth waiting the last half of the movie to go to the bathroom.
