No matter what anyone thinks of The Doors,they were brilliant.I have met a few people who don't like the Doors.This is absurd.Narrowmindedness.They were so different from all the other bands of their generation.Which pretty much makes their sound timeless.Jim broke the mold.There will never be another one like him,a shooting star!

@Rebel4evermore good point! what sucks about the doors though, is due to some of Jim's antics, I think towards the end their fan base had shrunk a bit. I could be wrong, but from everyone I know of that era, they tell me the doors were nowhere near as popular as they are today. I still think that what little exists of their later years, should be included with the rest and published!

The Doors are EASILY one of the 5 best rock bands ever....from an era, when rock music wasn't the repetitive 4/4 bullshit it is today. real musicians were coming together with things to say...telling stories. Ry Manzarek and John Densmore- very Jazzy...Robbie Krieger also Jazzy, but had a flamenco guitar style. Jim Morrison, crazy-ass poet. These guys wer un-fucking-believable!
