  • where's the tab?

  • @ryanblinkguy Hey Ryan, I PM'd you the link to the TABs.

  • i thought you said it was no capo?

  • @iamsallyy well oops... surprise! it's with Capo! :D

  • @flammingcarrot not a very good suprise

  • @iamsallyy well a capo is not that expensive. It's a cool tool to have when playing guitar. I highly recommend getting one.

  • egotistical idiot here...move on

  • Hey there,

    Thanks for doing this!

Would you mind doing me a favor and rewriting the tab though..

    It's a discombobulated and I'm a bit confused on a couple parts.

Thanks so much man, and keep rockin!

  • @dansquietfriend well just copy paste it in MS Word in Courrier New font.

  • I felt nostalgic when he said that the description was on the side :'(

  • LOL @2.47 "every lower string note is fretted by my thumb" ............. lol I love it. Great tutorial btw you flaming lip of a carrot you :P :P

  • not bad, but you seem to be having trouble with your A chord shape !

  • did I just hear you say "I was just listening to fml?" hehehe.

your vids are awesome!! i love you

  • Here comes the sun 1 of 6?, are you mad man?

this is popular music, not mozart or whatever!

what the hell do you need almost 45 minutes for?

    [2]

  • @xverxverxverga Yes I am a mad man. An average of 5 minutes per video... multiplied by 6 videos = 30 minutes. Fingerpicking patterns are complex. It's not mozart but the genius of the beatles is close to mozart's. My thouroughness helps you. You're welcomed btw :P

  • @flammingcarrot yeap...

  • Comment removed

  • @flammingcarrot

While I completely appreciate this tutorial, and try to appreciate the work of the Beatles, they were nothing of the genius of Mozart. Obviously that's opinion... but the two could never be likened in anyway.

  • @xverxverxverga I Can play the song easily, but some newbies need help...at least this dudes trying to help. Dont watch it if you dont wanna learn it then...

    Easy Peasy XD

  • @DeathMetalFan01 What the hell?, this is not of your bsns!

and yes, tooooo much time for a tutorial!

Just check this guy, more than two minutes and he was still talking.

  • I'm sorry I'm interested in learning guitar but btw what is that little black thing I've seen some people attach to their guitar neck, what does it do?

  • @SD171 It's called a capo. It's used to shorten the length of the string in a way... that way the pitch is heightened. :)

    I'll message you

  • thanks greetings from argentina , a beatiful country like yours

  • Comment removed

  • @crazyghetto978818 not if George Harrison plays with one ;)

  • @flammingcarrot true..true..

  • @crazyghetto978818 I used to think so too until you realize its much easier than baring the chord. its almost impossible.

  • @crazyghetto978818

Cheating? No. Keith Richards tuned his guitar to an open g for many Stones songs.AND he left of his bottom E string as well...all to make life easier no doubt.

Nothing cheating about a capo or open tunings or whatever ..You still have to be able to play.Using a capo doesn't make you play better.Just a means tio an end

  • easy things, are not the best ones

  • @LAUMAN777 "Nothing in life worth doing is ever easy." :D I like the way you think.

  • @flammingcarrot thanks greetings from argentina, a beatiful country like yours

  • There is a difference between just going through the motions and really playing the song with feeling.

  • dudes got talent

  • you suck as a teacher how the hell is anyone suppose to know wtf your doing if u dont slow it down u idiot

  • @crushboomerman If you need the fingerpicking style, you can watch that.

He teaches like MSjokes does, through example, dumbass.

  • @crushboomerman some people learn by just watching other people play idiot

  • Your version sounds nice ......but its hard!

  • yeah ... but it's worth it!

  • Nice playing! But I think you need a better video camera......it doesnt reeally make that much of a difference but its nicer thats all

  • thanks for the help,i really wanted to learn this song! hahaha, hello youtube, lol

  • you can make one with a shoelace and a pen

  • could you do a tutorial of your version without a capo? that would be EXTREMELY helpful... thanks!

  • you could watch my uncappoed version of the song. It's no tutorial but it'll give you an idea.

  • its the same thing just play what he plays in the first position

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks alot! Starting to sound really good for me now :)

    You´re the best man!

  • Good stuff buddy! Keep me posted.

  • myspace is fermented vomit

  • Was this made using a camera phone?

  • no... but this was made several years ago...

  • I guess the early days of YouTube had really crappy video quality. It's like watching a beat up 25 year old VHS tape.

  • What fret is that capo on?

  • Really? It's on the 7th.

  • why does everyone on youtube add those 2 extra notes in the beginning? Is this common? I'm not a guitar player but I can tell the difference and have yet to find a good version on youtube...

  • The original version is a strummed song. This is my fingerpicked version. The first two notes are to simulate that strum and to stay in rhythm.

  • look up Jun626 and see how it's done.

  • woah, your playing it wwaay to fast in the beging there, its ment to be played slower

  • it doesnt have to be fast or slow it all depends on how the person feels more comfortable though slowly it does sound more peacefully i think

  • if the beatles suck,

then what the fuck, are you watching this video. Perhaps you should go listen to the cockroaches or coakroaches. :-)

  • i read it without the if at first and was like owtf....

  • i quit i cant do it

  • only losers give up that easy, just cuz it takes practice means you dont want to learn it? lazy.

  • haha me too

  • dont you never ever ever say that!!

  • Try thinking your thumb as independent of your other fingers (on your right hand)

  • theres lots of canadian guitar teachers online (flammingcarrot bobbycrispy) im not saying it like its a bad thing though

  • a little more practice

  • u r wired o.O

  • Can u sing as well??

  • God, You're amazing!

  • IMPOSSIBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • fret not friend, I'd like to help you out if you still want to learn this song. How can I help out?

  • ha no, it's ok

    thank you very much!

I'll improve my skills first and then try to learn it once more ;)

  • Nice sound quality

  • It is in A by Georgy boy This is also A.

  • Thank you for posting this!!!! This is soooo cool!! I am something of a novice - I've been teaching myself (I know a bit of fingerpicking already, but I am going to combine both tutorials, in order to nail this song). I have always wanted to learn Here Comes the Sun!!!! I am so happy you put this up here!!! I will have it mastered in no time!!! Awesome!!!

  • Hey a fellow Canadian! Glad to have made you happy bro! Don't hesitate to ask me any questions!

  • Yep, I live in Thunder Bay. But, I'm a girl (a bit of a rarity). :-) I tried to learn this song about 10-15 years ago from music my mom had in an old book --- not a happy experience (since the music was completely wrong and I had no kapo!!). I got so discouraged that I abandoned my poor guitar for a long time! hahaha! But, I started teaching myself again several years back, a little at a time - fingerpicking easier folk tunes, mostly. So, I'm getting better, although I should practice more. :)

  • hmm I did not know that Thunder Bay had such a low population of women!

  • Hahaha! I meant "acoustic guitar playing, George Harrison/Beatles-loving" women!! :-) They're fairly rare around these parts...

  • ah I see! Never been to Thunder Bay what's there to do there?

  • I'm Canadian too! I live in Ontario, and btw, you're amazing at playing this song, 5/5, subscribed, and i'll be checking your profile daily! :D

  • ah loving the Canadian love!

  • I was joking dude....

  • STALKER

  • Okay, then.... Ever heard of something called checking subscriptions?

  • cool, but can you make tutorial for fingerpicking ?? please.

  • Actually I already did! Check it out in my videos on my profile :D

  • hi, i posted a vid response of me playing a very relaxed version of this song ... personaly i think people get thrown by the picking...and forget about the song as a whole ;-) it's quite easy really.

  • I'll gladly accept the vid response!

  • thanks!! so if i want to play it like you do, do i need a capo?

  • yep

  • you have another version without a capo...

  • yeah but the one w/o a capo is in a different key...

  • ellent tutorial. I have been looking for someone that has the real music for ringerpicking Homeward bound ny Simon and Garfunkel? Everything I find is not what they played. Thanks.

  • I'll try, but I can't right now I've been crazy for some while and my schedule won't be clearing up for a while! ... I haven't done a video in a while ... for about 6 months! ... But I'm keeping this request in mind like so many others i've received! I will not forget :)

  • NEED A METRONOME AND A TUNER MAN

  • Your very talented! I love..."Here Comes the Sun"....my husband played the guitar, so it brings back wonderful memories! He always stopped right in the middle of a song and said the same thing! "I screwed up!" Keep playing. Smiling your way, deb

  • that's so sweet thank you deb :)

  • can u tell me what type of acoustic guitar ur using?

  • I'm using a guitar made by Godin. It's a Quebec (Canada) made guitar. :) It's not very good...

  • ok thnx

  • haha your camera sucks man xD but nice job

  • miss George :( the master of this song

  • this song begs to be played with a pick

  • wow at first i was like holy shit i cant do that and i still cant ;c i learning tho

  • Well keep on truckin buddy! If you need any help, contact me i'll gladly help.

  • dude im sort of new to the hole guitar playing thing sort of enyway whats that black thing on the neck of your guitar and is it absolutely mandatory to have it to play this song

  • the black thing is called a capo. For playing this song, yeah it is mandatory. The fret numbers written in my tab are all relative to the capo. So when you "2" in the TAB in reality it's the 9th fret of your guitar neck. But since the capo is at the 7th fret, it's the 2nd fret, relative to the capo. Hope this helps! I don't want to be boastful but this is a difficult song to learn. If you any more help, i'll gladly help :) Happy holidays!

  • you can play this without a capo right

  • yeah but you'll sound 7 tones lower than me in my video. Check my non tutorial video and you'll sound like that.

  • you should take a lesson on how to play this song from Peo Kindgren.

  • Peo owns

  • cool his version is very close to mine. It sounds better, more texture in his.

  • i mean can you slow down and show the strumming pattern like in your video

  • Oh well then, you can check my other tutorial on my profile:

The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun (Fingerpicking Lesson 1/6) and the other parts :) don't hesitate to ask more questions if you need help.

  • can you slow down like in your other tutorial which was(1-6) thanks

  • I'm going to start guitar for the first time and bought a crappy Yamaha starter guitar.

I need to know what to do so that I don't injure my fingers and body while playing the guitar.

    Any tips would help.

Seems as if the position of holding the guitar is abnormal and hte fingers must be destroyed.

  • Well, first of all, crappy guitars are usually known for their high action (strings are far from the fretboard). High action means the strings will be hard to press down, so it will take a toll on your fingers. Even if your guitar has good action, you will still go through hell at first, while your fingers form calluses. Brian Adams put it best: "...played it 'til my fingers bled...". This happens to a lot of people, but if you're actually cutting up your fingers, take a little break. cont...

  • my finger tips are hardening.

sprained my wrist before getting the chance to play properly.

with just one hand, on my second play, felt almost no finger pain and can get the few strings of this song by ear.

  • Good job buddy :)

  • ...cont.

Make sure you have your fingtips perpendicular to the fretboard, applying direct pressure to the string, without wiggling it around on the fret or bending it. Also make sure you have your fingers pointing straight up, and your thumb too. your thumb should usually be on the opposite side of the neck as your middle finger, but not always. just make sure it's not on the headstock (many beginners do this before they learn the proper position. It's a very bad habit)

    cont 2...

  • Fucking Beautiful

  • "so like whatever"... lol funny

  • dude i love the way u play it along with snabblekrab not a big fan with the three string picked but its still sound awesome great job and thanks for tabbing it

  • 3:40 is kind offensive

  • hahaha

  • Well I didn't mean to...

  • i like the way u play it. only thing i do not like is the three strings picked repeatedly for three times. it is not nice to ignore the subtle change in the tone. (btw if i do not make myself clear it is maybe because im not a guitarist but a harpist). anyway i like the rest and the relaxed way you are teaching the song

  • haha yeah I got lazy with that part :P thanks for the comment. But wow! the Harp! that must be tough to learn, great sounding instrument!

  • can you please teach the original version pretty please

  • the way George Harrison plays it on the record?

  • Mala version... esta mal sacada. no coinciden las notas con las originales, puede que le sirva a algun principiante.

  • ya i started watching this thinkin i might be able to learn it....... ha i was wrong.

    very nice.

  • wat guitar is that

  • It's a cheap locally made guitar. It's a Godin.

  • Great video, shame about the quality.

  • yeah... idk shit about recording stuff :P

  • your really good at this

  • hm... i say caypoe, not cahpoe

  • in french it's "cahpoe" so yeah... i'm french canadian/... anglo-canadian... lol

  • Wow thanks take no notice of these ungrateful idiots.

  • Thanks for your help!

  • thats really good

  • It's either I suck or I don't... don't try to pussy fluff your comment...

Besides this is how I play the song... LISTEN to what I said in the video. People wanted to learn how I PLAY the song. It's my version of it. I'm sure you understand (?) no k you don't bye.

  • yeah you did mess up pretty bad in the bridge part, which is the easiest part for me at least

  • don't mind this guy carrot, some people are just haters. good work though, i'm in the process of learning this video thanks to you :)

  • you are a bit of a cock

  • dont be so rude you jerk!!!!!!!!!

  • no no no i didnt mean the person who made the video lol i meant johnstangg..

  • lol

  • Not a bad try, but it sounds better slower. And the Asus4 part sounds bad.

  • oh that was awesome

  • FUCK dude thats WAY to fast for me lawl

  • ohh.. sorry.. its on the 7th fret.. silly me.. :D

  • He put it on 7th for B key.

  • really? o.o i can't read notes

  • thx man. rlly helped

  • no problemo eduardo!

  • can u put up a tab?

  • I did... click "more info" right next to the date the video was added

  • how do u strum it

  • check the "Video Responses" (3rd one, 6:44 - flammingcarrot) or check the "Related Videos" (The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun (Fingerpicking Lesson 1/6)) or my profile :D
