"i accept that what happened to me happened for a reason"....no, it didnt happen for any reason, its just shitty. I cant stand that 'everything happens for a reason' bullshit-it just exists so that people can feel better about a current situation and ignore it. NO. Ignoring a crap situation by saying 'well it happens for a reason' is destructive to positive progress in society.
I wish they gave more info. I'm curious if she even knew the guy was trying to contact her b/f to get drugs. Either way 10 years just for that is fucked.
Nicole shouldn't have been sentenced to more than 6 months. Even that would have been more than necessary to "punish" her or "teach her a lesson". The idea of putting a bright, young woman with no criminal history in Prison at all should never be done lightly. Our society uses Prison and Jail to try to solve our self proclaimed "drug problem". Whole "War on Drugs" is nonsense to a Libertarian like myself (even though I'm a white, middle aged conservative)...
The government is destroying our economy, destroying our lives, while the members of government steal our money and turn us into Ken and Barbies that turn over their livelyhood for freedom. We have no rights, our constitution is void and we are letting them get away with it!!!
Ron Paul had some good ideas....unfortunately he is also completely for the free market taking over everything which is very idealistic but doesn't work
It's only unrealistic when it is impossible to keep the government's testicles out of our business. The free market worked find for the first 100 years, before the statists started taking control.

You lie like one. Cannabis is legal war against 100 million+ Americans is a crime.
And this was aired in "95"! If people in general were aware of present Drug War incarceration statistics it would make them sick to their stomach! This is 2008! The Drug War is WELL KNOWN to be a dismal failure and we as thinking adults need to make our politicians aware of our knowledge to this and our condemnation of such draconian drug laws!
Well, I hate to break it to you, but RON PAUL has dropped out of the race and he is ONLY candidate I knew of that was in favor of getting rid of our studpid drug laws. We had the chance to do something about these laws and we blew it.
Actually the system is set up beautifully 4 the benefits of not U and me but the selected. Our greatest company Charlie Indy Angel r part of the trafficking, 4 the national security of course.
the sob stories are important as it puts faces to the figures. a documentary full of statistics does not keep the majority of people's interest. the UK is going the same way as the US, the judges are more lenient on pedophiles than drug dealers and we are fairly liberal with drugs. the prisons are full. this will have to end soon.
The war on drugs has failed. Pass as many laws you like people will still take drugs the and it is the low level mules and dealers that get the slammer. There is no moral difference between smoking crack or a cigarette and it is hypocritical to say otherwise.
The Iraq,Iran,Afghanistan,(Rest of the world) war was unconstitutional, the drug war is unconstitutional, and income taxes are unconstitutional. Hmmm, maybe thats why there is no law saying that you have to pay income tax. But you will get jailed for doing so anyway. You are so stupid.
