Since I posted this video, my views have changed. I have come to realize that it would be wrong for Christians to force their views on others through legislation. I still do not like the idea of abortion, but it is also wrong to force a particular viewpoint on people who are not Christian. Christians should love others unconditionally despite their issues like Jesus loved people and simply hate their own sin. Just say I have learned since posting this video and have had a change of heart.

That would not be a woman choosing what to do with her own body but instead choosing to violate the body of another. In this case the choice extends to a person that is protected under law and the woman's actions are in no way defensible. A fetus, however, is not a person protected by law and has no rights of its own. As such, the law sees a fetus as a part of a woman's body and it is the woman's CHOICE to decide how to proceed with the matter. That is the "choice" described.

Imagine if every woman on earth aborted the fetus inside her. Think about it. Killing is killing, regardless of "choice" or "law."

A fetus is not a body, either by biological or legal definition. Ergo, the woman aborting her fetus is not violating the sanctity of another, independent being. I'm not saying you have to change your views, I'm just pointing out that your choice of terms makes it difficult to take your argument seriously.

It isn't difficult at all. Your argument is no better than saying it's not ok to kill any butterflies whatsoever, but it's perfectly fine to kill chrysalises, because they're not butterflies. That's absurd and you know it. A fetus is not a body YET. Otherwise every time a woman is sad from losing a baby, you can simply say: "you shouldn't cry since a fetus is NEVER a body anyways.". Please. Gimme a break.

Well, biologically a pupa in a chrysalis state isn't biologically a butterfly either. Were there a law stating that it was illegal to kill butterflies but there was no law protecting chrysali because they are not butterflies the argument still stands. A chrysalis is even less of a being than a fetus though, as all of the biological material completely breaks down to reform as a butterfly. As for a woman that's lost a child, logically speaking, there's not much to mourn over. However, (see next)

I would not be so insensitive as to say to a grieving woman "Be more sensible and logical!" Losing a child is a great trauma, one that I would never wish on any woman. However, should a woman choose that it would be better for all PEOPLE involved (and a fetus is not a person) that she terminate the pregnancy, that's entirely up to her.

A fetus is not a baby. A fetus is not a person. The pregnant woman, however, is a person. She should be allowed to decide for herself what is best for her body.

What I used to go around spouting was very nazi-like. I realize that Christians should be the most liberal of them all since Jesus was that way. He disliked the religious people of his day, and I saw a movie on campus that changed my heart and mind on what I beleive. Latelym I have been understanding the more feminie side of God lately and it has been changing me. Sorry for the crap I have been posting both on campus, here and on FAcebook and MYSPACE.
