Im portuguese, i have to say that all their food comes really from Portugal, not Açores. So i think Anthony should really go to Portugal to see how its done correctly! Our food is one off the bests in the world. Its a shame that is not very recognized in the rest of the world... So in my channel there is video from Escola Profissional de Hotelaria e Turismo de Lisboa, showing a tradional portuguese dish, and how new generations are learnig and having the same passion for our cuisine! :D
Azores! My great grandparents (Dutra, Alves, Machado, and Silveira) came from Horta, Faial, Azores before settling in New Bedford, Mass. in the mid to late 1800's. They originally came from Flanders, Belgium in the 15th and 16th century. Enjoyed all 3 videos.
THIS IS THE TERRIBLE SPIC-LIKE IMAGE THE FUCKING AZOREANO IMMIGRANTS GIVE TO THE REAL PORTUGUESE! I AM FROM LISBON AND OF THE HIGHEST ELITES OF THE GALAXY AND I NO ADMIT THIS LOW CLASS AÇORIANO SHITS RUIN MY PRESTEEGEE IMAGE!! I AM WHITE EUROPEAN CIVILIZAED SUPERIOR ELITES AND FUCKING AZOREAN IMMIGRANT IS THE SPIC SHIT LIKE MEXICAN PUERTO RICAN EXCREMENT INFERIOR TO THE HOLE OF MY CU!!! THEY IS THE MOST STUPIDS STUDENT IN THE CANADA AND GIVE BAD IMAGE TO SMART SUPERIOR INTELIGENTE PORTUGUESE!!
i come from the canadian side of ole fall river, but damn i love that acorian/portuguese food, in my house we were raised on a mix of french and portuguese food, fall rivers an awesome place to live
Epá, quanto menos se falar nos Açores, melhor... Aquilo é um paraíso, e todos sabemos o que acontece aos pequenos paraísos quando começa a ir gente aos montes pra lá...
@Oldranker: that's the thing, though. It's part of his personality. He can't be expected to walk into everywhere he visits jumping up and down with giddiness and pissing down his leg with excitement, but even later in the first segment, he's speaking very highly of it, simply asking more questions about it.

if they are SO crazy about the azores why the fuck are they here? if their "motherland" is paradise then get the fuck out and go back. Im not racist and im not targeting a specific race of people. I get pride in where u come from, im 2nd generation removed from germany, i appreciate my heritage and i think Germany is fan freakin tastic. But America is the promise land and my God given birth rite. they are proud, they should go back in my opinion
@JustinCase10261 Just Fuck you. I can be proud of my country and being living in other coutry. That doesnt mean I hate the country I live in. That are the roots.
@oldranker Yeah, I agree. Bourdain starts the show with his big-city, ignorant distain for a natural phenomenon, and the show never rises back up from it. I've spent almost 2 months on 2 islands, and had an amazing time that I'll never forget. In fact, the Aҫores, is my top pick for settling down upon my retirement. Great people, awesome natural foods, good drink, superb natural beauty. I just can't find appropriate work, or I'd be there right now. This show doesn't do the islands, any justice.

No offence to the Azores but I found this to be quite an empty episode of no reservations.
