  • hey man, badass truck, i have a 84' f250 with a 460 in it and the body is pretty rusted out, im not to familiar with bondo and fixing rust, any tips would be a big help man, keep it up with the vids of the truck bro

  • for the rust, your best getting a little handheld grinder and stripping the paint around the rust and the rust itself down to bare metal. Then get some bondo with hardener and start applying it to the bare metal. Only work a little at a time, just enough so that you know you can apply all of the mixed bondo to the surface before it starts to harden at all. it should harden in like 10 minutes or so, sand it down if necessary and apply another coat, just work a little at a time is key.

  • My bad, I spoke too soon, looks like a solid axle hung by leaf springs, and not a TTB, sorry about that. Be glad you dont have a TTB!!!

  • Watch my video on eliminating the rag joint on youtube: y26tFeofUfA Copy and past that in the Youtube search box.

Your next big project: get rid of that horrible friggin TTB, the Twin Traction Beam always was, and always will be, a major source of aggravation and disappointment. It is the single worst design anyone every made.

I had a sweet 90 Bko with 351 so I know from experience. Do a search for SFA, I promise it to be a major upgrade in steering and handling (plus flex!)

    Good luck!

  • ill definitely check out your video in a minute, i actually do have a TTb in the front but since my truck is the HD model (8600lb GVW and higher) it was blessed with a d50 (basically the same crap as the d44), and in the rear i have the 10.25 full floating LS rear with 4.10 gears. And yes, i plan on swapping to a d60 as soon as the money allows for it, from what i have heard it is a direct bolt in, i've heard that if flexed enough the 44 could even crack right in two! Thanks for the comment!

  • looks good man i just bought an 89 f250 with a 351 w motors locked up but im gonna pull it and rebuild it look for some video to come soon

  • @loghauler21, thanks, i sure will, let me know when you add anythin.

  • oo well thats good

  • Lookin GOOD!!!

  • hows your frame you look like you get some rust on that

  • @elementsk8er321, believe it or not but the body mounts and frame are actually very solid, just a little surface rust.

  • Love the truck man, It's coming along nicely.

  • did you use a gun or a can to paint it?

  • @DRZ122792, just a can

  • @KuntryboyF150, yeah, i think that would look pretty good, i prefer white with red because it stands out a little more but black should look great to.

  • tip: a good wash and wax will fix the sticking water and will help blend the colors more.

  • @hondaking230, alright, ill have to give that a shot (haven't even washed it since i bought it, ha, that sounds like a good idea though). Thanks for the comment.

  • Might be a problem driving it without the steering wheel lol. Lookin good.

  • @natescamp, haha, thanks.

  • @KuntryboyF150, the steering column wasn't too bad to take off, i actually thought it was harder trying to paint FORD on the back, haha. Its very hard to cover up the rest of the tailgate when you go to spray it. I cover up the whole tail gate with about 2 coats of newspaper and the white still found its way through. And also you gotta have mad taping skills to outline all the letters pretty good, haha.

  • good job dude looks great

  • @yourmom922, thanks man
