  • The announcement system on this train seems a bit hyperactive.

  • i hate the trains at gvnt center

  • I just figured out that the voice of the stop announcements is Frank Oglesby Jr. Look him up on Google.

  • I just figured out that the voice of the stop announcements is Frank Oglesby Jr.

  • I've long been curious to know why the Blue Line runs on overhead for part of the route & on 3rd rail for the rest.

  • @Madness832 Third rail icing is a problem in East Boston, pantograph avoids this problem

  • this is awesome

  • @gatoradefan12 Thanks!

  • A little trivia....the portion of tunnel between Maverick and Aquarium is the worlds first subway tunnel that travels under water. Many people who ride this train have no idea that part of it goes under the Boston Harbor. :)

  • dang i miss riding this train when i lived out there, but they musta updated teh trains since i was last on them, cause i dont remember the announcements being so annoying. LOL

  • its a glitch on that specific trin but i did hear they put that annoying chime before every announcement

  • No worries on the shaking. It's a rough ride between Maverick and Aquarium stations.

  • I agree, the PA on the blue line is the worst of them all. Sometimes the person talks so long that the door chimes don't go off until the train has already left the station!

  • So true!

  • I am surprised that they did not keep them short like the Green Line announcements.

  • only good thing bout blue line announcements is that they actually sound human and not like an answering machine

  • Poor lonely Bowdoin. That stop has been a ghost town since the Blue Lines very first day.

  • the automatic PAs tend to get (annoyingly) repetitive and annoying at times.

  • Yes, I much prefer the Orange line operator announcements, even if they can be hard to understand

  • great video, i also rode the Blue Line this summer. i mostly used airport and gov't ctr stations.

  • I'd really love to set up my tripod in the first car on that single seat below the window to get a good cab view, but the operator would probably see me. I've gotten dirty looks from operators while just looking out the cab window

  • Yeah I was worried the operator would look back and see me, it's even more suspicious filming OVER the blocked out part. I tried holding the camera back a couple inches so they wouldn't see it, lol

  • Why does it annoy them so much, though? I don't really get it.

  • There line of thought is "camera=terrorist" I guess.

  • I guess they don't hire many bright or personable people to be train drivers then. I'd probably just smile and wave to someone filming the cab; does that mean my chances of being accepted are nominally low? :P

  • once again nicely done on both parts 1+2

  • Thanks!

  • nice iv only rode the blue line once and i was going to the airport
