I regrind too microdac!!! Great minds think alike. It seems if the grind in my preground can of coffee is course the water runs right through it like water running over big rocks...but when it is fine it stays in the grinds longer (like water running through lots of pebbles and being filtered by them) the coffee stays longer in the finer grind and yields a stronger cup! :-)
@StevenTalks1 It was a Chinon 50mm f1.9 lens. (Very similar to the Takumar 50mm lens). I am glad you asked because I am now trying to buy up as many Takumar and Chinon screw mount (M42) lens that I can (that is reasonably priced). I checked and I was told that a lens like that, if manufactured now, would run about $1500.
Of course you need lot of sugar and milk to make this coffee drinkable. Even then I think it will suck big time. Grinding more fine than optimum for the brewing method you are using does not mean that you can use less. It only means that you will extract more bitter notes in the cup.
Then you are using cheap coffee maker that does not heat the coffee to the gold standard of 195-205°F and the spray head probably only distribute the water at one place leaving some grounds dry.
@klarinetta Thanks. I make videos that solicit responses. I know that I don't know everything, but, when everyone, as yourself, add useful information then we all learn. Thanks.
@microdac Vinegar does not do the job as well. For example if I was to clean the glass carafe of a coffee maker or clean a french press I had to soak it for at least over a night and scrub it real good. With clean caf for coffee maker or Carfiza for espresso machine and movable parts as French press etc. 2 teaspoon of it in the sink full of water, mix it and let it soak there for 1 or 2 hours and oils and minerals will just rinse out without almost any scrubbing at all.
@microdac I'm glad if I can be of any help. I too used to use vinegar but when I got myself a Rancilio Silvia espresso machine I really had to get some cleaning product to backflush it. So I got the Cafiza(sorry not Carfiza as above) from Urnex in 566g container that should last for a year or so. For home user that brews on average 1 to 3/4 double shots a day you need to backflush the machine every 6 weeks or so. Then you soak the baskets, portafilter and such in water mixed with Cafiza
@klarinetta It worked so well that I soaked my bottom half of my Bodum Santos pot(that I use for brewing coffee with Hario V60 pour-over) a long with the glass cone in solution of half full Kitchen sink of water mixed with 2 teaspoons of this Cafiza cleaning product for 2 hours and I've never seen a glass in my whole life so clean ever and I did not had to scrub at all just wipe lightly with a spong.

@klarinetta Without even extraction so over extraction at one place and under extraction at other place on the coffee grounds.
