  • will the brick affect the taste of my rose water?

  • You can also use it to make your own holy water.

  • Ingenious condensor there - thankyou for your inspiration

  • how would you do this so that it's like Triple Rose water? I'm supposing you would take the rose water you just collected and put in a new batch of petals, replacing the water around with the water you collected... then take new water you collect and do that process again - new petals, 2nd batch of water around it, and then the next batch of collected water would be Triple Rose water... right? LOL

  • i cant wait to try this out

  • @iiicoco Yes! They would have a better effect because it's wild/organically grown.

  • i made some and it doesnt smells but just a little smell of roses actually....

  • that is genius!!!! i never thought of condensing a liquid like that! wished they showed me THIS in my chemisty lab.

  • I tried this but my rose water doesn't smell like roses :( I wonder if that's normal...

  • @MsVintageCat HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • @MsVintageCat @trobyto When I did my search for making rose water, I also loaded a page from care2 com, which stated: "if you simmer the water too long, you will continue to produce distilled water but the rose essence will become diluted. Your rose water will smell more like plain distilled water, rather than the heavenly scent of roses."

  • Hey after I make it can I put in the frigged?

  • @LaurenBird3 yes.

  • Thanks for the useful video. How long does the rosewater stay unspoiled?

  • can you do this grass?

  • @0oMelloadeeo0

    for dmt?

  • @LiquidmemOirs how about a big chunk of wood? i guess the purpose of the brick is to stack up the bowl, so that it won't floats around when the water is in.. and when the water is boiling

  • omg I wanna try this now, I'll wait til the spring/summer though so I can pick the roses from the garden instead of having to buy them.

  • @HeavenlyAngyles yes your right u can dothis by saving money

    :) good idea

  • A really beautiful lovely video!!! You can almost feel the sent of the roses.... And your name is Rosalie so it goes well with the rose work! Take care!! Thank you! A hug from Nenne

  • Thnx ! 5*

  • So...is this what we call hydrosol? Why couldn't we just steep the rose petals in hot water and use that after straining the petals?

  • @hq0013 Simply steeping the petals in hot water would also extract all the water soluble stuff in the petals, probably adding a vegetal scent. By distilling, you are separating out only the volatile compounds that have a lower boiling point than water, which includes most of the pleasant rose scent compounds, and not the other unpleasant, less volatile stuff.

  • I cannot wait to try this out!!! I also want to try this with lavender...must find organic flowers...

  • Eeee!!! Thank you!!! I really needed to see it to get it!

  • Very Nice. What was the book what you use?

  • This is really cool! :D I couldn't really understand the directions to making rosewater by merely reading it, so your video helped me understand what they were talking about haha thanks!!!

  • I have a question. Do you have to use a brick?

  • very nice vid...made me feel that i can do this too will be doing tomorrow

  • Thats a cool way to do it ! Thank you !

  • You can also make a more potent form by using the Sun Tea method- Place water and rose petals in a glass jar and place in the sun every day remove roses and replace with fresh ones you can keep doing this until the rose water smells as strong as you like.

  • @bonzaibb12 I agree, this method is more for the collection of rose oil.

  • Thanks :)

  • Hey Rosalee, you should *totally* post a vid. about how you made your rose petal liniments and vinegars, too, along with what you plan to use them for. ;o)
