Pakistan is a feudal and racist ethnocracy. The Punjabis control nearly everything. This makes Pakistan very unstable, as there is a large disenfranchised underclass along socioeconomic and ethnic lines. Recruitment is easy for the Taliban.

Resentment against the US in Pakistan exists but so does resentment against Pakistan's own Punjabi elite. This may have been bound to happen.

interesting proposition! However, for the taliban to be able to do so, they will have to wreck the entire structure of the pakistani society. I am absolutely positive that the moderates in pakistan will not let this happen. But somehow if the taliban gain power, and banish or kill the moderates, there will be a lot more forces than the indian armed forces on pakistans door step.

Although the indian military shouldn't need any international assistance should that problem arise.
