We should care if their father is Jewish as well but Rabbi's still live in their fantasy world and don't care if women marry nonjews which is the problem not the child born from this. Of course the child should have to convert because they may have had terrible inffluences from the non-jewish father and the mother hates Jewish men. That shouldn't make a child automatically Jewish. Read Deutoronomy Chapter 7 Verse 3. It applied to BOTH SEXES. The RABBI'S ARE TO BLAME.

Just a little trivia I picked up as a Stern show fan. Howard Stern's mother is Italian, born in Naples but she converted and became a practising Jew after meeting his father so technically I'm guessing that he'd be considered Jewish.

Rabbi Levin only issue when it comes to family purity is homosexuality. Homosexual is horrible and should be spoken about. But he has nothing to say on divorce (67% which are initiated by women) and that in America women can divorce men for ANY REASON and get compensated when THE WOMAN SHOULD COMPENSATE THE MAN for violating the marriage contract. But when it comes to women Rabbi's say nothing. Jewish men and American men who don't have a bully pulpit are the victims of these cowardly Rabbi's.

I think Rabbi's should speak out AGAINST HOMOSEXUALITY but they should also SPEAK OUT AGAINST divorce and especially no fault divorce where a women breaks a contract a marriage contract and not only does she not compensate the man but she wants the man to pay her for HER VIOLATION OF THE MARRIAGE CONTRACT. But these Rabbi's are cowards and kiss up to Jewish women with Jewish men who are not Rabbi's always being the victim of this. I have been the victim of this and so have other Jewish men.

I agree with you bonnydayz. Buth WHY ON EARTH IS RABBI LEVIN BRINGING UP WHETHER HIS MOTHER IS JEWISH OR NOT. It suggest it is OK for Jewish women to marry Non-Jews? If she married a nonjew she is just as much a scum as Howard is. It wold be better if Rabbi Levin said he hopes his parents are not Jewish.
