  • wizard O_O

  • He can burn anyone's ears with these skills...

  • sounds like fable

  • @BenjaminBreegXx Lol, that's what I wrote.

  • @BenjaminBreegXx OMG I KNOW RIGHT!

  • Six Degrees licks?

  • I thought I was the only one I the fifth dimension :(

  • it sound a lot like Chrono Trigger ehheheh

  • when will you all learn that a comment doesn't qualify as spam simply because you disagree with it

it's like you're devoted to making rudess fans look like idiots

  • So cool

  • No one can accurately name the best person at an instrument. There are many different styles to base off of. Jordan Rudess is the only guy you can say he's the best at his instrument.

  • @MrCReagan No, there's too many people in this world to say someone is the best at something. Listen to every pianist ever, then you can decide.

  • Vc é muito criativo.

  • It reminds me of Fable!

  • @kukenbajs lol thats the 1st thing that popped into my head.

  • the only terrorists r the americans and the isralies so fuck u

  • Just one word: ORGASMIC!!

  • I'd love to hear something like that on his solo albums.

  • pls anybody guide me play faster on keyboard.....

  • books: Liszt piano technique & play lots of classical music cause classical often pinpoints difficult areas within technical playing:D

  • if you're Right-handed, use only your left hand during a moment of practice for 30 minutes daily for 1 month. LOL!

get the speed of your left hand going. RUN thru scales up and down. do different things and tricks with your skills. make different rhythmic patterns, etc. Play melodic minor, harmonic minor and major scales/chords in ev'ry KEY.

use LOOKNOHANDS website for scales and chords :)

NO CHEATING, only use your L-hand, then switch to R-hand. you'll get FAST and SICK!

  • i love the diminished harmony at 18 seconds in to about 21

  • gotta love the background flames :)

  • @abiniz What background? That's his basement. You should see his living room!

  • Now he needs to work with Marty O'Donnell

  • I love him.

  • haha reminds me of fable music

  • somebody please tell me where to find this score!!

  • in Jordan Rudess's mind.

  • entering it is a whole other question

  • yeah i doubt this is written down somewhere, my guess is its completely improvised

  • love the diminshed arpeggios at 18

  • Damn he's awesome...although has anyone else noticed this passage really sounds like it belongs somewhere in Chrono Trigger?

  • this is so fkn killer. i bet it would also sound kickass on the regular piano sound

  • STFU AND LISTEN TO THE KEYBOARD GOD

  • Jazz and blues artists... grets..

  • It is so beautiful ...

  • Jordan can you please help me? i cannot get motu electric keys to work on my comp- thanks-angie

  • ??????????

  • I don't understand your comment, and i don't remember what i had write. I am italian

  • LOL

He doesn't understand his comment :P

  • No, i understand his comment, it's an offensive comment, but i don' know why!

  • He should do film scores! It would make modern Hollywood suck a lot less.

Then again, any film they could think of nowadays would probably just be a disgrace to the man's immense talent...

JORDAN IZ DA KING OF DA KEYZ!!!!!!

  • if only score had been released as a film...

    most awesome gig ever

  • uhhh....Score was released on DVD. I was talking about film scores (the music set to a movie.)

  • The Oasys isn't even available in my country, though I don't have the money for it anyway :P

  • i wouldnt bother - korg seemed to have let its current owners down by giving more attention to the likes of the M3 and Radias synths. ive talked to owners who havnt seen an o/s updated in ages and getting no joy from korg at all. not surprising when you look at the bloody price of it

  • amazing, i love the sound of pizzicato strings.

  • I just have to say, this piece is very realistic, a real orchestra could play this very well. Its not robotic. JUst incase thats whats someone meant, otherwise, w/e....

  • 8400$ in europe

  • that keyboard is so expensive, so im buying it... 74'000 swedish krones. thats like 40-50'000 dollars

  • 50000 Dollars? Not really...

The Oasys costs about 8500 Dollars...

  • ow sry just thinking too big but here in sweden it cost 70000 sek and on forex it say 75 000,00 SEK give you 12 115,73 USD

so 12000 dollars for oasys 88

  • Hell yes! It's overpriced here in Scandinavia. If you think 70,000 SEK is bad, we have to pay 80,000 Norwegian Kroner for the OASYS and that is about 15,680,00 dollars - almost twice as expensive.

  • you in norway have more money after work so its cheaper in one way. You get like twice as much as we do in sweden

  • ITS OVER 9000!!!lol

damn, that sucks dude.that much for the oasys?

  • Depends where you live.

In the U.S, it's 8.500 dollars, but in Europe, it costs a bit more.

  • i know that.i live in the U.S but i cant even afford 20 bucks.LOL

  • ohh my god.... =0

  • musically gifted by God.

  • i couldent agree more sooo talented and the most versatile player ive ever seen

  • YOu aree a masterrr Mi fhaterrr is youuu ;D

  • Yeah man you're completely right. So true that Rudess (keyboardist for the most technically brilliant band on the planet, Juillard educated, child prodigy age 9) isn't nearly as good as Timbaland.

  • You're a fuckin idiot.Timbaland is a dumb nigga who doesnt come close to Jordan

  • So in your opinion, playing fast = jerk? Dosn't that sound just the slightest lame to you?

  • Well his tecnique is pretty much perfect (way better then people like Rick Wakeman (not dissing Rick Wakeman, I'm a fan of him aswell, but it really is), if you think that makes him robotic that's your choice I guess. And about using one keyboard, I can't see what's wrong in using technology to it's fullest isntead of just letting it use you, slowing you down and what not.

  • yeah thats exactly it, hes so precise he loses that human feel, he plays it similar to how a computer would play it if you get me, like programmed instruments. I mean that in itself to be so precise is an amazing achievement, but i dont think he is way better than rick, personally i think they are as good as eachother both amazing. Lol the keyboard thing is like the stereo typew of prog rock keyboard player lol they have about 20 keyboards, and then you get jordan rudess, oh miughty one key

  • lol. he doesn't need more than one keyboard. he programs one keyboard to have everything he wants in it.

  • sorry long response sorry, yeah its just one of those things. and if something messes his keyboard up, he might be screwed tbh, lol im just an idiot i know and i apologise

  • He always has a backup for gigs. Except for LTE where the new Fantom-G actually did mess up, and the LTE guys were improvising for like 3 hours and Jordan played guitar (yeah he plays that pretty damn well too:b)

  • Mate if you don't like DT/Jordan Rudess that's fine, your opinion and everything...but slagging him off while on a site which is clearly only going to be watched by Rudess fans is a bit pathetic...looking for people over the internet to argue with isn't that much fun...Also do we have to compare colour? bit unnecessary I think...

  • its good to see people on youtube with opinions lol, discussions are fun!

just to add to the debate, i think rudess is a great keyboardist, although i havn't studies keyboard or many other keyboard artists, i enjoy listening to his music even if it is a little cheesy, which is rare by my standards

i spose ur cheesyness indicater is set a little lower then mine lol

  • rudess is pure genius!

  • really awesomee, right on.

where are you anyways?. did you make a rip in time by playing so fantasticle?

  • (〃 ̄∇ ̄)ノ彡☆ GJ!

  • go under my name and u will c a video for andrea bocelli(melodramma) it's under that video . click on it and watch the whole thing ,there is two so dont get confused, the one right under the bocelli's song

  • If you're talking about Magdi Al Hussaini, we can't make any comparisons between him and Jordan Rudess. Two different generations, two different technologies... And, shure, two wonderful musicians. It's like to compare Buddy Rich to Mike Portnoy. Makes no sense.

  • What's his name? I want to hear him...

  • Me too!

  • @adibeh no fucking terrorist is better than jordan rudess.

  • @drewricomakeubu1 Obvious troll is obvious

  • @adibeh Arabs and all other humans were created by Jordan 40,000 years before Christ, when he first played the keyboard. That dude you speak of can TRY to burn Jordan, but Jordan can easily erase him from existance and history.

  • kurweil is good, but yamaha is the deepest shit you can ever imagine.

  • its more like perfect vibration he does even need to here the note anymore

  • quiero esos videos

  • jordan rudess is the best in sinthetizer

    no compare with vitalij kuprij

  • these are not the sound of the oasys...these are kontakt libraries!!!!

  • i agree with everything that you just said.

  • I fucking love Pizzicato strings, such an amazing instrument. Jordan owns my asshole.

  • Your asshole :/?

  • So technically you must ask for his permission to use your asshole? Because it's outlawed to abuse of someone's property without his permission. Your life must be sad

  • Fucking amazing.

  • Totally amazing

  • fuck i love the sound pizzicato.

  • I wish I had 5 grand I could use to just go and get a Continuum...... Someday......

  • 5 Grand for a continuum?????

  • I'm speaking in Australian dollar terms.

And I did exaggerate a bit, It's $4,000 for a half size and $6,200 for a full size.

  • 101 uses for a screensaver! hahah lovin the background, but the playing is spot on... i was i could play as good as mr rudess... but i'll stick to guitar for now haha

  • I love Jordan ))

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooooow

  • this guy is insane

  • awsome left hand work...

  • search Sprios Kottis. Then you will see the best synth player in the world, Krustikov.

  • its SPIROS Kottis for you YouTube searchers...and Jordan owns...IMHO...

  • woops thanks for correcting the typo. The way Spiros Kottis and other musicians of his type can manually induce quarter/micro tones with the pitch bend, AT WILL, is beyond this earth. Jordan Rudess will never understand that in his lifetime. plus, the Kottis-like musicians can post improvisations over 9 minutes long, not a small 36 second pre-rehearsed clip. Don't get me wrong, Rudess is unbelievably amazing, but I can't let people get away with saying he's the best in the world.

  • Jordan Improvises entire albums worth of material! As a matter of fact he has released four albums of this type of playing. And I can't see how bending a note a micro tone can compare to mastering all genres of music. Jazz, Indian, Rock, Metal, Blues, Classical, Orchestral, Gospel...Jordan has done all of these types of music and Improvises in these styles. I just don't see the comparison.

  • Bending notes are musch more complicated to learn then all those types of music rudes is playing...i know there are "normal" bedings too..but the "real" bendings are much harder

all in all everybody got his own style of doing music..and if it sounds good..then its good..if its bad then its bad..

  • there is no "real" or "normal" bending, therr are just different types of bending to reach a different note.

  • You, young chappy, are full of shite in your overly tight pantaloons.

  • Never understand bending microtones at will in his lifetime? You DO know that Jordan has perfect pitch, right Cupcake?

  • yes i know, but can he do what with his fingers. and a pitch bender in the middle of a song/solos

  • I knew it! I had a damn good feeling he's pitch perfect

  • Technically my friend perfect pitch doesn't exist, but Jordan is without a doubt the greatest keyboard player in history, and as close to having perfect pitch as possible :)

  • Keep it up Jordan...soon we will no longer need orchestras :D

  • Those pizzi sounds kinda sound either like Edirol or that 500 dollar Orchestra program.

  • Korg Oasys is Software Based..

  • Yes i agree , the playing too.

  • im still not seeing anything particularly amazing in this korg oasys. for a $14000 dollar keyboard, and possibly the best synth player in the world, im expecting some pretty outrageous shit.

  • Go to a store and play one.... it's 7,500.00 for the 76-note version. Until you work with it, you won't/can't get it.

  • lol yeah very fable

  • This guy is from another league!

    awesome

  • fable...indeed

  • wow superb all the best Donnie uk

  • wou. this is awesome !

  • I love pizicato strings... !! :D

  • I love pizza! Kinda the same...

  • Julliard at age 9 people...come on. If ever there was a piano prodigy, this is him.

  • Holy damn, it does sound like Fable music. Maybe something Danny Elfman would orchestrate.

  • Danny Elfman doesn't orchestrate anything. He farts around on a piano, which he knows nothing about, finds a melody, which sounds like everything else he has ever written, and has someone else orchestrate, record, and produce the piece. He knows nothing about music theory or anything like that. This composition is a typical Rudess pizz string piece which he has actually thought about. Elfman's name should not even be on this page.

  • Well to be honost Hans Zimmer also knows no music theory, he just worked in a studio and had another job at a concert hall or something helping other composers and figured out to do this and how to do that on his own and came up with many award winning sound tracks. If i recall Clint Mansell was also the same, as are many composers. I dont think it elimates their accomplishments as music all comes from ,well, the heart, some people can make amazing peices just banging around on a keyboard.

  • Quit your whining, yon fartypoop.

  • yay, like Fable music!

  • Awesome guy :D Too bad the song is this short.
