@TonyEvans96 yeah they made the mistake of saying weapons in the script they did give the earth ships shields they didn't give weapons until the beam weapons at the end of the Asgard...all the earth ships had were rail guns and missiles with atomic bombs but they were human developed weapons..they did give earth transporters and the transport rings were Goa'uld tech ( stolen from the ancients )

well, in the season8 episode Full Alert, the Prometheus did uses weapons, that didn't look like railguns or missiles, on the Al'kesh. some orange-white bolts that toke the ship with almost no problems, so railguns are excluded, as their fairly weak against shields. maybe the asgard just gave them some plans for weapons?
