  • I remember I had this 12 inch, I wore it out

  • C-L-A-S-S-I-C! This was from his very first album, Radio. This track cannot be matched by anybody! Thanx 4 posting. I haven't heard this in about 25 plus years!

  • This proves that L.L. is one of the best ever. This is 25 years old and is still fresh.

  • Man this is a true classic! Today's Hip Hop dont come close!

  • this is when Hip Hop was serious and fun at the same time it was the perfect mixture word up''

  • this is an ill remix...LL during the Kangol period was truly one of the best!!!!

  • " Vocal Cords So Ruff That I Could Eat Cactus" That one line equals LiL Wayne's whole career. LL was the best solo hip hop artist EVER.

  • HELL YEAH !!! I never heard this on the radio. BUT saw him perfrom this live at the "Fresh Feast" in Long Beach CALi in 1985. One of the best concerts EVER!

  • This is a classic Cool J rhyme. This remix is one of the illest ever !!!

  • @Cuffski Saw he do this live in '85 "Fresh Fest"

  • @aush1969 I can dig it, I saw his first tour. When I first met Cut Creator I told him how dope this song was and he just smiled cause he knew it was true.

  • This remix was better than the original version.

  • Does anybody have the remix with the (Kraftwerk- Tour de France) sample

  • I owned this back in the day and have been looking for it!! This is the better version. Thanks!

  • FINALLY some1 put it up...thank you

  • This was my favorite remix form the Radio LP. I remember I didn't think anyone was better than LL until I heard Rakim in 86 lol

  • srry LL was better dawg!!

  • SMH I have to disagree Potna

  • this was the dopest remix ever.. the "da da da da da" part was from "Frisco Disco" btw..

  • my brother use to bang this back in the day, still dope

  • DOPE X 10

  • for those who like to groove, the flute loop was sampled from Eastside Connection - Frisco Disco. (Ultimate Breaks & Beats Vol. 13 - 1987)

  • wow divine intervention i just ask about this joint and it came up on the screen thanks yt

  • This joint is the bomb!!! Only true Cool J. fans know about this one!!

    Go L.L.

  • you know it way back

  • @digvidguy OH YEAH Check out my comment

  • @digvidguy Summer of 1986, just graduated from 8th grade this was the -ish!!!

  • This joint is over 20 years old and still sounds better than any of this nonsense out now!! Thanks for posting this classic.....

  • back when I had to hear it over and over again!! can't believe what we have allowed to happen to hip hop... it has been taken hostage and we need to get it back''

  • Which One is better RUN DMC's Peter Piper or LL COOL J's You'll Rock

  • ah Respect to them Both!!

  • I like the remix and rock the bell.

  • Saw this song performed live in Albany, Ga when he was on tour with Whoudini, Beastie Boys, and Run DMC. Very good show

  • yeah boyeeee.....remix is dope!

  • With that said, this is one of the freshest remixes ever! I used to turn my headphones up on the recordplayer and just zone out into great lyric land! Bring back real hip hop at its best form and get rid of all these no jacks! In fact don't diss L, diss Soulja Lil Boy and G-Spot Lil Boys, all that stuff is crap! Peace!

  • What's up with all the LL dissing, he is a legend and you all don't diss any of the other rappers when they go into legend status! Enjoy the song and give your throwback comments, not your nonsense comments!

  • it's a shame that none of his newer stuff is worth listening to anymore

we need the 808,the sp-1200,the linndrum, the dmx back on the streets!!!

  • My lil bro and me had all his cuts back in the day, all remixes, battles, and free-styles.

Thanx for postin, you representin fully.

  • LL need to listen to this and feel embarrassed to be doing the shit he is doing now. What happened brother. You was the greatest.

  • He needs "old school" producers and get away from the bullshit!!!

  • Doesn't matter now; he's on the tv tip!

  • @JayTronik : Indeed, he was the greatest!!! Those who were there and can remember the time could never deny that. He was the Michael Jackson of rap in terms of his untouchable status, but for some reason, over time, he has declined dramatically. I don't understand how such a thing could happen. What happened to the vocabulary??? What happened to the soulful passion and confidence that touched and inspired us all? It seems that he has lost his soul and attempts to fake it with an ego facade.

  • Oh my God!! I didn't even think anyone had this remix anymore! You are straight up representing Classic Hip Hop

  • I love the photo too! Represents real hip-hop as I recall it. He`s not posing by a ride with chrome rims but rocking the boombox. That`s was the ride back then.

  • I`ve been waiting 23 years to hear this remix again. Damn! I can`t believe it`s been that long. Keep up the good work. This is pure hip-hop,unfiltered at its best!

  • Oh man this brings back a fond memory for me. I remember the day I first heard this remix. It was in the high school parking lot, and white guy was in a 65 mustang banging the shit out of this one. I feel in love with the song right then in there.

  • yeeeeeeaaaahhhhhh boooooouuuuueeeee

  • I have been waiting to hear this one. remix of one of the best ll cool j songs (and from the only album that really mattered...)

thanks for posting. rare def jam

  • And Diddy says he invinted the remix

  • Does anybody know how to convert music from here to mp3 files on my computer???? You would not believe how long I've been looking for this cut!!!!

  • i gotta find this, thunder jam

  • Damn!!

I've been waiting for years to hear this again. I scratched up my 12" of this learning how to mix in 1987!

Bout time this was posted! After hearing this version with Cut Creator scratching that flute sample and "rock" the album version sounded weak to me!

  • @soln4suhreborn Actually that isn't Cut Creator doing the scratching on this. Jazzy Jay who remixed this version is one behind the turntables.

  • @blackwaxjh True, but Cut Creator did the cuts on the LP version though, definitely.

  • Classic!
